Eera Posted November 8, 2012 Share Posted November 8, 2012 We've just had to deal with a huge infestation of bird mites in the garden - I think they came in on pigeons then transferred to the chooks. They're tiny, like grains of pepper, live in the grass and my god, do they bite! If you get them dust your coop liberally with sulphur powder to kill the ones on the chooks and spray your garden with soapy water every three days for 2 weeks, that seems to have eliminated them.
