mw291073
Hi All, I am available to go to Australia after Oct this year. I'm thinking that it may be a little close to Christmas to go this year, as getting a job may be difficult. Perhaps I might be better going in late Jan 2013? KazzE
I would say more chance of getting a job between Oct and Xmas than Jan/Feb Everyone is in holiday mode through Jan and into Feb, kids are off school, it is the middle of summer . . . So I would say, come as soon as you can or leave it until Feb. Of course it also depends on what jobs you are looking for? ?
MARYROSE02
Come out in October, just as it is getting cold in UK, and enjoy a full summer in OZ, or spend Xmas in England and come over in the New Year when everyone else is depressed and broke and dreaming of their summer holidays. It's a win-win situation!
mw291073
I work in the IT industry, as a Network engineer and want to live in either Sydney or perhaps Melbourne. I'm wondering if going in November might be a bit late in the year. The last thing I need is to arrive there and then support myself without a job until say February because the country more or less shuts down. Is early Feb an ok time to arrive then? JoandJon
Late Jan & Early feb should be ok - it might give you a couple of quieter weeks on the job front, but life starts to get back to normal around late Jan / early Feb. (most schools go back around Australia Day) It can get very hot though - and they're predicting a hot summer this year
