Guest The Barnetts Posted January 10, 2008 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Hi my husband and I arrived August 2007 with our 3 children - our sons 17 and 16 and our daughter 11. We have settled well but miss our family and friends, Our children seem to have a better social life than we do. We have not even met anyone from UK over here! We would love to know where everyone goes for a beer. We miss the social side of things. How did you cope with the social side of things when you arrived and has it got any better?:jiggy:We are in Wheelers Hill not far from Glen waverley. ali Posted January 10, 2008 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Do either of you work? You could have a barbecue and invite some people or a couple from work (they don't just have to be brits do they?). Our kids have a better social life too - we've had a couple of people round and also been invited to places via work.
