Children better off in Oz?

Totally agree ali, there are kids in my sons prep class, some still only 5, doing this sort of thing. I think its actually quite cruel. At that age kids need lots of down time. Its holidays here and the weather has been awful, so our 2 have spent most of it in their pyjamas playing lego!

My two have always had the opportunities to do activities they've suggested, my daughter when she was younger went to a dance class (disco sort of thing), enjoyed it but didn't want to go again so didn't. She did horse riding for several years then gave it up because she didn't want to progress into doing shows/competitions. Sometimes we have to be led by our children not them by us.
