Very interesting, missy.clap.gif

Diprotodon...I have a tooth from one in my fossil collection, but it came from the gem sapphire wash near Glen Innes, NSW.

A noteable area for good fossils in Qld is the Central West, Hughendon/Richmond/Julia Creek. Which was an arm of an ancient sea about 100 mya

A fossil mussel I collected last year:

I wish I could find one like this

Good to see that you're back on line, mate.thumbs.gif

There are a lot of them to be found about 12 km from Richmond, central Qld. That is good for a weekend camping trip away.

Is it allowed to dig for it? My kids would love it ( and me too:wink: )

No problems, there are a couple of public fossil sites in the vicinity; both are existing council gravel quarries.

But...that fossil I posted came from an area about 3 km away. 4wd needed, even though the site is only 200 metres off the road.
