bubbe2005
He just got promoted at his workplace, he has only been working on the 457 visa since last november - previous to that he was working on a WHV. His employer now wants to apply for his PR now before July 1st changes. Questions:- What will he have to do now? Will he still need to get his skills assessed? His promoted title - must this be on SOL 1??? I am posting on behalf of him as he doesn't have the time to join forums, so i said i will ask on behalf of him. bubbe2005
thanks! and what priority group will he be placed under? and what is the current processing times for employer sponsored PR applications? so if he gets his skills assessment done now and he gets a positive hypothetically speaking 6 weeks time, what impact will it make to his PR application? lebourvellec
His job would require to be on the ENSOL We would require skills assessment and 3 years of work experience, to be exempt from skills assessment he would require 2 years working on 457 and 1 year for the same employer. If he works in a regional area he might be eligible for RSMS - which I dont think needs a skills assessment. As he is short on time - running his case past a Registered Migration Agent would be better, as they can also lodge Decision Ready Applications

bubbe2005
found info on booklet 5 page 13 Other dependants You may include other relatives in your application if they are wholly or substantially reliant on you for financial support for their basic needs of food, shelter and clothing and they have been reliant on you for that support for a substantial period. They must also be more reliant on you for support than on any other person or source. A relative may also be considered dependent on you if they are reliant on you for financial support because they have a mental or physical disability which stops them from earning a living to support themselves. Other relatives dependent on you or your partner may include, for example, an aged, unmarried relative. If you have dependants who are 18 years of age or over, please obtain a form 47A Details of child or other dependent family member aged 18 years or over. A form 47A must be completed for each dependant 18 or over, whether migrating or not. nevertheless a MARA agent will know better!

VERYSTORMY
He is almost certainly not going to be able to lodge before 1st July. Skills assessment normally take 6 weeks. Then there is all the other stuff such as medicals and police checks. As for you being included on this visa the answer is pretty much no chance. You can, if you are last remaining relative apply under the family visa. But that visa currently has a wait period of 15 years
