Waitingawhile Posted May 24, 2012 Share Posted May 24, 2012 Hi I have received a request for the above and it says you should provide them from all countries in which you have lived for 12 months or more. so my question in i spent just under 12 months by 8 days in Oz - I don't mind obtaining them but it seems a hassle if i don't need to I am just wondering if anyone else has been in the same dilemma? fnb71 Posted May 25, 2012 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Hi, I think you have done the right thing by asking your CO to confirm if an Australian Police check is necessary in your case. manateemike Posted May 25, 2012 Share Posted May 25, 2012 When i applied earlier this year for my citizenship i was requested to provide an AFP check. In the small print somewhere it said and i paraphrase...'if you have VISITED Australian in the last 10 years a AFP check is required'. My CO confirmed that because i was last in Oz 5 years ago on a 4 week holiday i had to provide a AFP check. Hope that helps. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
