Cheap calls to the UK

Hi - we've got our landline up and running today which is great but whats the deal with cheap calls to the UK?? I sorted my parents out with Just Call details before we left but cant find anything similar over here. Any ideas for would be greatly appreciated - Thanks xx

Surely Skype is the best option...

We found skype a bit poo as it kept dropping out which was a pain, but that could be the internet around here. Im with Telstra and have an internatinol call allowance, most 10 min calls to the UK work out around $1, so pretty cheap really, all we have to do is dial a code before the uk area code.

Yeah, we use Skype for international calls everywhere--computer to computer is free but we also buy $15 worth of credit occasionally so we can call ordinary phones too. We can speak for hours to the UK for the $15 even with some calls to mobiles (which are more expensive than UK landlines).

If you're in Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney Voipcheap is great value using the local access numbers.

We are with Telstra and we pay 2c a minute and 45c connection fee.

We use those international calling cards, as long as you have free local calls in your phone package. Call a local number and costs 1c per min to a landline.
