  1. This was my interpretation too! It would be amazing to hear something before Christmas but I’m not getting my hopes up… but it’s certainly a step in the right direction. We have been patient so hopefully we are nearly there…

  3. Scarborough is so nice! It’s actually the first beach I ever went to on my very first visit to Aus…
  4. Sounds lovely, I haven’t been to SA. I will have to check out Canning Vale…
  5. I’m feeling increasingly positive, looks like they may start assigning case officers by early next year if not before, so fingers crossed. All my partners family are in Perth. So will be there… whereabouts in SA will you go?
  6. Hi, I’m a general electrician applying for WA, 491 visa with 90 points submitted in March 2020. I’m also looking for any good news in this area… please do let me know if you hear anything… hopefully things will start moving soon!
  7. Well it’s nice to hear from someone in the same boat. I think half the battle is getting assigned a case officer as they simply aren’t processing the visas as we can’t enter the country due to the border the restrictions. I think one they assign you one, and if they do ask, then you’ve cracked it as you’re being processed. I would wait and as ping as you get them completed on a time manner, you’ll be fine. Would hope it wouldn’t be another year, but who knows?
  8. I’m with you there! I had already resided myself to the fact that once I was finally assigned a case officer (I have to keep reminding myself this will happen eventually, feels like it won’t sometimes) that this would be the first thing they asked for as all of mine expired in February. It’s a family of four so is the best part of £1k but would be a small price to pay so my partner could see her parents, sisters, brothers, nephew who she is 1 and hasn’t met yet... etc. Fingers crossed on the vaccine roll out and then hopefully slowly letting temporary visas in with strict quarantine measures...
  9. This is lovely to read. Especially as all mine have expired too... fingers crossed we here more good news in these areas. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Thanks for this! It’s really good to hear people getting their visas granted. Very good news!
  11. Hi, thanks for this comment I find it really interesting. I have a 189/190 EOI and have actually selected 4 possible states. Do you think this is actually having a negative impact on my EOI? I submitted it in January and I believe updating changes it’s order for processing but am considering updating it to only our priority state (where my partners family are) what are your thoughts on this?
  12. Hi, I wanted to start a thread to establish if and when they might start granting off-shore visas for non-essential workers. I have read that there has been some movement in certain states in this area. I know the travel ban etc is still in place for the foreseeable future but thought it might be a good thread for people in a similar situation who are eager for light at the end of the tunnel. My details: invited March 2020. applied in May 2020 419 family sponsored in WA 90 points electrician No movement whatsoever since submitting. would love to hear from others in a similar situation or even better if you’ve recently been granted. thanks
