  1. Hey, thank you guy's for replying I will definitely ask my migration agent. The only problem with a tourist visa is that my wife is from Syria and a lot of Syrians are getting rejected for a tourist visa due to the on-going war. My agent also told me that I thought I would ask on here first to see if anyone who had a family member sick did have their visa speeded up due to emergency situations
  2. Hi, I am currently living with my wife overseas and until her visa is approved. It has been almost 11 months now. I have my father who has kidney failure and is in a very bad condition. I wan't to go and see him, but I don't wan't to leave my wife behind and I would like my wife to meet him before anything happens to him. My question is, if I provide a medical certificate about my father being in a critical condition, would the Australian embassy speed up my wife's application? And second question, I have a migration agent, but am I allowed to personally write to the embassy about my dad's situation or do I have to send that writing to my agent then he sends it to the embassy? Am I not allowed to write on my own to the embassy if I have assigned an agent to correspond on my behalf? Or is it still ok? Thank you
  3. Ok, I will do that thank you I just typed the doctors names on the internet and this came up in the screenshot I have attached It say's "Australian immagration doctors in Syria" . That would mean their registered in Australia i'm guessing?
  4. Hey, thanks for replying. So what questions do I ask the doctor to find out if their registered in Australia? Do I ask, "Are you registered in Australia"? And that's all? The panel doctor is located in Damascus, Syria at the IOM. It is approved facility by home affairs as it is on there site. In your opinion, would that mean the doctor is registered in Australia since home affairs is connected with the facility and appointed the panel doctor? Or not necessary? Wouldn't the doctor have to be registered in Australia to perform a medical exam for home affairs to accept it?
  5. Hi, I am just wondering, can a panel doctor that conducts health examinations who is appointed overseas by the Australian government be eligible to sign a Commonwealth Statutory Declaration? Would them being appointed mean that they have a connection to Australia? Would they be registered in Australia wherever they may be around the world? Here is the website to make more sense of having a (connection to Australia) https://www.ag.gov.au/Publications/Statutory-declarations/Pages/who-can-witness-your-statutory-declaration.aspx Thank you Joey

  8. Hi everyone I (The Sponser) apllied for my wife through a migration agent for a 309/100 partner Visa at the start of January. We are living together in Syria Tartous, far away from all the violence. Because I am in Syria which is considered a very high risk country, does the Visa take much longer to get processed? I have sent everything the agent requested before submitting my application like police checks, medical exam, polio, birth certificate, proof of marriage, proof of rent, etc... I also sent over 100 photos of wedding, engagement and other social activities, And I send 30 photos every 2 months to show continued relationship of different social activities. I'm coming up to 6 months since my wife applied, and have heared nothing yet. No interview, email, nothing! Does anyone have any knowledge of Syrian applicants and how long they usually take and when a phone interview usually happens for Syrians? Does it also take longer to get a Visa grant because we are living together Since they might wan't to focus more on applicants that are not reunited with their lived one yet? I am living here in Syria because of my wife and I can't fly back and leave my wife at her parents and wait for the Visa in Australia for personal reasons. I know her application is processed in Lebanon since there's no Australian embassy in Syria. Is it a good idea to email them? Or is it better to tell my agent to email them? And if so, what should I say? "I'm after an update"? Will the email help? Would really appreciate the help from those who have knowledge of Syrian applications and if you know the usual time frame for Syrians Thank you
