  1. I updated my EOi on 27/03/2020. 80 and 85 including state pts. I am thinking of doing the Naati test, though I think it is useless. Yes they can sponsor.
  2. I studied here, applied for a skill assessment (aitsl), applied for 189 and 190, currently working (more than one yr experience). Why would you think that I lodged an eoi prior to the skill assessment?! The only reason I am asking about the sponsorship is because I am currently working at a public school and they offered me a permanent position but I can't accept it. Anyway I have spoken to teach nsw and public schools cannot sponsor anyone.
  3. Hi guys, just wondering if any secondary teacher got invited? Are public schools allowed to sponsor us? Do you recommend any good agent/lawyer?
  4. I am a secondary teacher too and I havent seen any invitation
  5. I have 85 with state sponsorship. My eoi was updated 2 months ago (5 pts for 1 yr experience) but I havent received anything yet
  6. Hi everyone, Did anyone receive an invitation from NSW?
  7. To apply for a skilled migration, you need a skill assessment from AITSL. If your work experience is in Australia (full-time not casual) you won't need an assessment. Contract and payslips will do. If you have been working overseas or in Australia but as a casual teacher, then you need a work assessment from AITSL.
  8. Hi, no I haven't and I don't think I will get any before February. I contacted the department of home affairs and AITSL. I don't need a skill assessment for my work experience as I'm working in a public school. All I need is my payslips and my contract. For 189, I don't stand a chance with 70 or 75 points. 190 NSW requires 1 year of experience will be completed by January. So I'm hoping I'll be invited by then.
  9. I believe you misunderstood me. I submitted my EOI since 23/02/2019 for both 189 and 190 NSW with 70/75 points as a secondary teacher. I have a positive skill assessment for my qualification. I started working as a full time teacher since 28/01/2019. My question was: in order to claim 5 additional points, will I have to wait until 28/01/2020 (summer break inclusive) to request a skill assessment for my employment or can I do it in December since the school year ends in December 2018 (summer break not inclusive although my contract ends in February 2020)? I contacted AITSL and they informed me that if I request an employment assessment in December then they will put the date as December 2019. However, I have to check with the Department of Home Affairs to see if I can claim 5 points before january 2020. Logically, it is summer break, I will be receiving my salary but I won't be teaching. It is just that I don't want to lose time, I am trying to gather more points as soon as possible. As a teacher, a one year experience is equivalent to 4 terms.
  10. I just contacted AITSL. We only need 1 year experience in NSW. I have a positive skill assessment for my qualification. I need to assess my work experience which will cost 228$.
  11. Actually it's for both 190 NSW and 189 :s. That means I will have to pay again 900 even though the experience is in an Australia public school!
  12. HI guys, does anyone know if I need a skill assessment for a year of experience i(secondary teacher) n NSW? Or can I just provide my payslips? I started working since the beginning of the academic year (28/01/2019). Can I claim my points at the end of the school year (20/12/2019) or Will I have to wait until 28/01/2020 (which will include my summer break)?
