Hi Sameer, can I please have a link?

Sorry guys but I am not gonna discuss with you anymore you have already showed your level accusing my MA that he cannot read in english, that my application is bogus etc without even knowing a thing about me! My application is 100% genuine and my MA absolutely did not tell me my visa will be refused- he said we have a strong case. All he said is that things getting harder because 187 will be abolished and replaced soon and that we should think about other options, he also said that DOHA has limits for each visa and there are too many applications pending so every visa can be refused genuine or not just because timeframes and limits and we all know this has happened in the past at the end of 2017 https://www.australiavisa.com/immigration-news/refusal-retail-managers-rsms-187-visa/  Thanks!

    Hi Nati89,

I'm sorry that you feel that way... whatever you said is 100% true and no one is denying that...it's just that the facts you stated is applicable only to new application. One more thing I did poke fun at your MA but I never said your application is bogus... infact I sincerely wish you the best of luck...I think everyone here is genuinely trying to get their 187 even if that means changing their original profession just to fit in.

Ah ok, cos you've quoted me and then typed your answer which made me think you're referring to me direct.

One hell of an agent (lawyer).

Sorry about the confusion...we are not having a go at Nati89. Just feel sad that his/her migration agent would try to scare them like that... I think no matter what... your agent/lawyer should always be positive as long as your application is not bogus....

Not sure what your point is?

The post above is in relation to Nati89's initial post and its purpose was to prevent panic from spreading.

How do you know who I am relying on and can't think out of the box?

I'm talking about Nati89's migration agent who can't think out of the box and is scaring Nati89...

Mate, in very plain English- the new intake is set as 9 000 for sponsored regional visa not for 187 visa as they are ABOLISHING IT  but  for the new visa to be introduced in November 2019.

    2019-20 Migration program planning levels

    Skill Stream:

    Employer-Sponsored 30,000

    Skilled Independent 18,652

    Regional 23,000

    Skilled Employer Sponsored 9,000

    Skilled Work Regional 14,000

    State/Territory Nominated 24,968

Business Innovation & Investment program 6,862

    Global Talent 5,000

    Distinguished Talent 200

    Skill Total 108,682

    Family Stream:

    Partner 39,799

    Parent 7,371

    Other Family 562

    Family Total 47,732

    Special Eligibility 236

Child (estimate; not subject to a ceiling) 3,350

    Total 160,000

This has nothing to do with applicants who have lodged their files already. This only applies to new application after November this year. Nati89 your MA is full off shit... I'm sorry no offence to you but he/she is just trying to scare you - maybe because they feel they haven't done a good job with your file and in case you get rejected this can be an excuse for them.

Ah ok, work on your comprehension then?

In plain English - they are 'cutting' nonexistent intake as the actual intake has never been 190,000 per year, which means it doesn't realistically affect anything (162,417 permanent migrants were allowed in financial year 2017-18 even though the limit was 190,000).

Moreover, they are making regional visas an even bigger priority as they don't want people in the major cities due to them not being able to cope with such numbers.

Also, don't forget the rules that were in place when you lodged the application are the rules under which your application will be assessed, so don't get stressed out (if you have already applied and your application is not bogus) about the planned changes as those will affect new applicants.

Finally, this is just a plan for now.

    You can read more here.

I'm sure most people on this forum have already read this or atleast heard of this on the news...if you haven't and your just relying on your migration agent then you may end up like Nati89 who is being misled by her MA who probably can't understand English and is just used to working a certain format and can't think out of the box.

    Hello everyone
I got the 187visa last month, but my company ready to close down soon. Is this circumstance would effect my visa? Can I work at other company before the business close down?

Bryant, you don't need to worry...under certain circumstances like the company shutting down or you being terminated by your employer does not affect your visa. You can work for another organisation as long as you stay in the nominated regional state (in your case QLD) however if you can't find employment in that state and find employment in any other state you will need to write to the DoHA and explain why you need to leave QLD otherwise you don't need to inform immigration at all.

He waited from June 2016 without an answer. I think if they don't want or they do want to grant him a visa, they should give him a response so he can move on with life. 187 processing time is ridiculously long, 3 years without knowing where's your life going somewhere is a big mental breakdown.

Yup I totally agree...is the same as telling someone don't be afraid when I push U off a building because there is a huge trampoline below. No matter how much DoHA says don't make life changing decisions it still puts our life on hold.

    Hello All,

I have been a silent observer of this topic. I require your help on a topic.

My nomination was approved in Nov 2017. I applied in April 2018. I got an email from CO asking for PCC. I uploaded the PCC on monday. Would it be rude if i send him an email advising that the document has been uploaded? The immi account mentions the document has been received on xx date and the overall status is "Received".

    Appreciate your response and advise.

    Regards

Your a lucky sod...Ur nomination got approved before you applied 😂

Cook waiting from June 2017, no news yet.  SA are taking so long.

ACT is the fastest in processing cases for Child care and Chefs... I guess all these politicians need to put their kids in daycare and enjoy a good meal at a fancy restaurant with taxpayers money 😂🤣😂🤣

The nomination might have nothing to do with him but has everything to do with the business (and whether the business can nominate a cook).

The fact that the nomination for another cook has already been rejected only means that the business has been rejected the opportunity to nominate a cook. If both cooks have the very same nomination documentation/application it would be weird one to be accepted and the other one not.

If they both had the nomination approved and then one had the visa application rejected- that's different and normal (because it's based on personal circumstances/education/experience). But this one is extremely odd as both nomination are basically the same thing, a nomination of the very same business.

Please let us know what happens.

I totally agree with you it's a bit strange, but the fact that even the nominations are something that is not done automatically it's decided by people. One guy must of got a horrible person deciding that his nomination was refused.

It's WA. thanks for the reply. That makes me relieved somehow but still it's killing me. Other people from this forum has their status changed after requested more information. But mine is still same.

I know it's worrying but one guy from this forum has had his decision finalized on the immi account but no decision was given to him so he was in a limbo not knowing if his visa is accepted or refused. Other reading this correct me if I'm wrong.

The other thing is that since you have been asked to do ur medicals, I think U have 28 days to atleast book ur medicals - so it's not much of a choice. Hope you get some good news soon.

    Hi guys

It has been about 13 months since I lodged my visa as a cook. I’ve got requested for medical checkup 2 days ago, but my colleague who lodged visa before me has his nomination rejected 4 days ago.

I thought my nomination will be rejected as well but I got requested for medical so I got really confused.  Do you think my nomination is safe or not?

IS THERE ANYONE that had their medical check and then got the nomination refused?

When CO is assigned? Do you think the person who send me the “s56 request for more information” is my CO? When CO is assigned, can I tell my nomination is passed? I thought they only request further information when the nomination is cleared.

My immiaccount says the status is still “recieved” .  No “initial assessment” or “further assessment”.

I’m really worried that my nomination will be rejected after paying $hundreds for medical check.

Is it possible for my nomination to be clear when the other nomination is recently rejected at the same workplace?

    Give me some thoughts please!

    Cheers

Hi Xoxo...I'm pretty sure it's different CO's so ur friends nomination got rejected has nothing to do with U...may be he was unlucky to get a tough CO. Which state have U applied from?

    Hi guys
I applied 187 dec 2017 as motor mechanic then same company another guys who applied 187 as motor mechanic after 4 months . Last week he got his visa with in 12 months and I’m still waiting from 16 months. Do you guys have any clue why is that?
    Thanks

Gazza this must be so frustrating...it seem like they are just picking random files... first I thought it was a few states that were getting processed quicker...but after reading ur post it's clear that random files are being chosen

  15. 6 hours ago, Rajat Babbar said:

Guys any idea.. what is the maximum time limit taken after the case officer is appointed to your file ?

Rajat I asked this same question to the immigration. They replied back saying the burden of proof lies on the applicant, so the sooner you supply all the documents the CO has asked for the sooner they can make a decision. So then I asked what about after all the documents are submitted then how long does it take? They said well that depends on how soon the case officer can verify those documents.

So basically they told me "we don't know anything and will not put the blame on our CO's....it can take as long as they want." in an indirect way.

They keep increasing every month some ppl getting there results in15-17 months some waiting more than 20 months

myself nearly 21 months no news status shows received very stress full condition for me as my wife living apart from me in india😔😔

It's hard when your living away from your spouse for that long... especially hanging on the balance scale of their decision...what's your occupation and which state are U waiting?

there is absolutely no rule to that.  i'm in childcare and it took me 18 months, my friend 17, and other 2 friends 22 and 19 months, also childcare

    Calm down 😂😂😂!!!

I never made any claim that this is a "Rule"....all I said it's a general observations of applicants on this forum... obviously the entire population of applicants aren't on this website...so different people will have different timelines.... nothing to get hyper about 🤣

I m a child care worker. Waiting since 31 October 2017. More than 16 months now. No news as yet

Hopefully Tipu, you get your good news soon. This is just my observation from this forum, it's not a data analysis from any government website. The other point is that all the child care workers who got their visa's so quick all were from ACT only 1 from VIC.
