Hi All, This has probably been answered previously, but does anyone have an idea of how long the wait time usually is between having citizenship test + interview to receiving follow up communication, be it approval, or invitation to ceremony?

Thank you, I have already gone through the booklet and answered those questions with ease. But I would imagine the test can throw out a number of different questions. Just wondering if there is a best practice question bank anywhere?

Thank you for your re-assurance. I really hope that turns out to be the case. I have been using https://www.easydrivingtest.com.au/citizenship-test to practice some of the test questions is there a better page or more updated list of questions for 2021?

Hi guys, New to this thread but hopefully someone may know the answer or had a similar experience. I am due to have my citizenship interview + test tomorrow, and just had a last minute review of all required documents to be certain I am prepared. I noticed that the Immigration website says they do not accept certified documents. However I ordered a copy of my birth certificate from General Registration Office in the UK and the copy they sent me says "Certified Copy" despite it looking official. Has anyone else had to re-order there birth certificate? and had any issues with it? I appreciate all the help and feedback. Thanks

It looks like the department have updated the processing times for 186 DE visa strangely 13 months - 13 months. Can only assume they are suggesting further delays having changed from 12 months.

Does this generally happen soon after you apply - or is it closer to the time your application is about to be reviewed?

Hi @fung unfortunately no updated. My MA thinks the last updated date may be because they logged into the account, not necessarily making changes. Hopeing they are wrong.

Thanks @Hex your comments are always very helpful and reassuring. My MA told me to wait but if I was worried to apply for a renewed AU Police check which I have done. I also double checked my application and for the 2nd time in 10 days the updated date has changed ( yet no change in status and neither myself or my MA has touched it) very strange....

Thanks @hex thats very frustrating. Would you advise to be proactive and apply for renewals? Assuming that would come the same costs again? Also I cannot see anywhere on the immi rules that health exam has an expiry, should that still be ok?

D Do the department not accept responsibility the police checks are out of date because they didn't meat the estimated processing time originally quoted? How do you find out the length of validity, as I do not see any valid / expiry date on any of my checks.

Hi Guys, I just logged on to my account and noticed the last updated date says 08 Mar 2019. I have gone through the messages tabs and also status and can see no changes. Any idea what this means?

Did you submit police checks with your application at the start? I applied at the end of Feb and submitted police checks with application - wondering if I will be asked to submit new ones as the date has now passed 12 months?

Unsure whether this is good news or not but the processing time for a 186 DE has changed from 11-16 months to 12-15 months. Coming up to 12 months myself...
