    Hi ,

my immi account status shows as “ in effect “ what does this really mean ?

    thanks

    https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-text/online-account/Documents/status_immiaccount.pdf

I haven't seen "in effect" status before on immi account.  Are you looking in VEVO or immi account?  Because in VEVO will take into account current visa which I can assume (from your signature) that your Bridging Visa is in effect

    Hi @sydneyishuk

I just spoke with my company HR and The company got approved as a standard Business Sponsorship - Aus in 03 September 2018.  And what the hell my MA do not requested my medical exams early?  Is that a nomination approved?

    Hi Tiago,

Please update your signature and provide the following details and you will be added to the spreadsheet.

    Occupation:
    State:
    Birth Country:
    Stream:

    Number of applicants:
    ENS 186
    Nomination applied:

    186 Application submitted:
    IMMI Status:

Standard Business Sponsorship is to enable the company to sponsor the foreign worker (for example 457 visa and 482 visa).  For 186 visa then they must then must apply for the nomination.   Approval of Standard Business Sponsorship is not the nomination approval.

Hi @sydneyishuk i just wanna know if the status of the visa will move from received to initial investigation if the employer nomination is approved? Thank you.

No not necessarily - remember nomination and visa application are 2 separate applications.  There has been some cases that both approved same day or CO picks up the application after the nomination approval - but not the case always.

@TBO , I am in the same situation.

I have aplied in 23 August 2018. I just book my medical exams. How can I know if my company nomination was approved? Only my company has access to it?

Your employer will be able to tell you once the nomination has been approved.  Yes, only the company has access to nomination part of the application.

Hi All, we get some movement...

We were contacted by CO/MA to submit "a written confirmation from your sponsor that you are included  in the nomination for EN186 visa."

Does this mean we need a letter from employer saying my families are included in the nomination for the visa application?

    Thank you for assistance.

Hi Jennyc - unsure if you got a response.

Yes - you will need to provide a letter from employer confirming the inclusion of your dependent applicants.

Can anyone help with a bridging visa Q - I've searched but not clear on it:

I'm on a 457 that expires in June, about to apply for 186 (nomination approved).

I want to travel in April - will I need a bridging visa B to travel straight away any time after I've lodged my application, or only after June when my 457 expires?

    Hi,

If you apply for the 186 visa before your 457 expires you will be then be placed on BVA when your 457 expires. So if you are travelling prior to 457 expiring that is fine as you are still holding 457 visa.  Once it expires in June - any travel out of Australia until 186 is granted you will then need to apply for BVB to travel.

If however you apply for the 186 after your 457 visa expires you will be on a BVC and will have no travel condition.

Thank you for your reply @sydneyishuk. I was a bit worried because it's my first time to check my immi account (followed the import application and used my BVA TRN as advised by Hex.

Would it be safe to assume that the results will come soon when they asked me to provide health assessment but the status is still "Received"? Does it mean my application has undergone checking? Thank you.

Hi @TBO suggest you provide the following details also include in your signature

    Occupation:
    State:
    Birth Country:

    186 Visa Application submitted:

Thank you. but i haven't provided AFP or biometrics yet. Its just that in my account, the only actions required is the health examinations. I am sure if I need to do the biometrics and provide AFP.

    thanks for your help.

When I log in I get the same alert - it is generic.

If the only action required from your side is Health examinations then you could disregard the rest.

You will need to provide AFP if you have spent a total of 12 months or more in Australia in the last 10 years since you turned 16.

@GTRZ This has been the same as what they wanted to do last year, but didn't get any movement on it.

Do you have the article / literature that says it's been passed? If this is just a "bill" of sorts, I wound't worry about it now, there are many hurdles they would need to get over before it'll be passed.

    Exactly Hex!

If we worry about every proposed change we will send ourselves cuckoo!

  10. I have read a few articles today about these proposed changes.  I wouldn't say it will impact our 186 applications

I don't think the impact will be big as this statement below suggests the new cap nearly match last years intake

"For many months, the government has floated plans to reduce Australia’s migration ceiling by 30,000 from its current level of 190,000.

This new cap would almost match last year’s actual intake of 162,417."

    Hey sydneyishuk,

thansk for your suggestion. That’s the first time to hear that. Do you mean that I can create a new immi account to keep an eye on my application’s process, even I have authorized my MA to deal with my application?

Yes you sure can 🙂  I've done the same even though I have a MA

Just create immi account and then click import application

Hi guys, almost silent reader few times poster.

I applied in dec 2017 (stream DE), still waiting. Profession Baker.

With the new processing time I am over the timeline of nearly 3 months.

I tried to contact the immi couple of times but I got general answers.

Now I am thinking to call the 133 177 the number for the feedback and complaints. The point will be that my partner has lost a member of her family in dec 2018, but she holds BVC so she couldn t travel back to Italy. It s unbelievable how they treat the situation we have the application "decision ready", everything is there.

    Any suggestion?

    Hi Rick,

My friend was in a similar position waiting way over the processing times - by numerous months, she called immi countless times as she got to nearly 2 years of waiting.  They just provide the same information each time/ generic updates (making me believe it is a helpline/call centre). I haven't heard that calling them helps at all or heard any positive stories of doing so - but by all means give them a call.  She also used the contact means to complain - worded in the best way possible - but had no effect on any progress with her visa.

BVC unfortunately holds the no travel condition - however home affairs website states "If you have an urgent need to travel outside Australia, you should contact your case officer to discuss your options".

  14. Global Processing times now updated on the website

    TRT - unchanged

DE - now same as TRT

Visa Stream 75% Of Visas Processed 90% Of Visas Processed
186 - Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186) Direct Entry Pathway 12 months 13 months

186 - Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186) Transition Pathway 12 months 13 months

    Thanks Hex.

I will try to email my MA today to get my logon details.

That would be a long time to wait😭😭

    Hi Kelly,

You do not need your MA log in details.

Create your own immi account and import your application - to import the application you will need application Reference Number and Main applicant details such as DOB, Passport Number and Passport Country.

Hello everyone - just an update to keep you all up-to date with one of the hardest weeks of my life.

My PR has just been granted 🙂🙂🙂 Woah I cant even believe it and I'm literally shaking.

The decision to refuse nomination was overturned and my Visa was granted today 🍾

I will post again soon to explain the exact process and what went on since my nomination was refused - once I find the time to detail it all as was a complicated case.

Put it this way, my MA agent was unbelievable and I owe them so much.

Its crazy, I've went to feeling so down to so high in a matter of weeks.

I will post again soon detailing the whole timeline and what exactly happened....for now, I'm going to celebrate 🎉

Omg, Great News - Absolutely delighted for you and the family!!  What a roller coaster of a week for you.

    Enjoy the celebrations!!

Once you get some time please inform us of what happened it would be very much appreciated.

    Congratulations again 😄

Hi everyone! My file opened and my spouse received Character daclaration details request. Around 18 years ago he got the minor offence. We already submitted character recommendation by his boss and statutory declaration about the details of offence to our MA.

Is there anyone receive this request before? Thank u!

Hi Ah L, please provide your timeline details below.

    Occupation:
    State:
    Birth Country:
    Stream:
    Number of applicants:
ENS 186 Visa and Nomination  and application applied:

    IMMI Status:

Yes I have had this request before for a previous visa application (not PR) Case officer asked for more information and stat dec and also submitted character reference from employer - visa was processed after 28 days of providing the information. This was for a 457 visa a few years ago.

    Hello ALL,

I have completed  my 4 years in 457 visa . My 186 is still under process from last 23 months. I am just wondering if I can work elsewhere in bridging visa? will it effect my ongoing 186?

    Please advise.

Are you the primary applicant?  If so no - you must continue working with your employer who has nominated you - that is the whole basis of this transition for PR.

    Hi guys,

I applied in April 2018 as Hairdresser and still nothing from Immigration 😔😔😔😔.

    Its so frustrating to wait.

Many people that applied after me already received their PR or anyway “news” from Immi...... why not me? 😭

    Hey,

You are still within the processing times - there are people waiting from 2017 so could be a lot worse.

I know it is a frustrating wait, especially when you hear of peoples grants who have submitted after we have applied.  Just got to sit tight

Anyone have idea about super my employer paid $2 doller less per year on my super how can I correct this and already lodge nomination I am worried about that can  CO refuse by saying less super paid by employer ?

Your employer will need to correct this as it could put your 186 visa in jeopardy.  As I know the nomination part of the application employer needs to show super payments etc.

Information here: https://www.ato.gov.au/business/super-for-employers/paying-super-contributions/missed-and-late-payments/ suggest your employer pays the super owed and submits a statement or proof that the correct super has now been paid.

    Hi

My partner and I had taken the medicals recently.

Health Assessment section Immi Account for me is shown as:

Health clearance provided – no action required

All health examinations required for the specified visa subclass have been finalised. Processing of this person's visa application can now continue. This will not occur until a case officer investigates the case in line with published processing times for the visa that has been applied for. Do not contact the department about health examinations in the meantime.

Health Assessment section Immi Account for my partner is shown as:

Examinations ready for assessment – no action required

The required health examinations have been completed and submitted by the panel clinic to the department. This person's case will be processed or referred to the department's migration medical services provider, Bupa Medical Visa Services, for further assessment.

What could be the difference between these two different statues?

Is there anything to worry about here?

Nothing to worry about - both state no action required

Could be that your the main applicant that there is difference in the wording, but definitely nothing to worry about as no action required from either
