  1. Yes, hope so W20. Starting to get excited now! then just the house to sell, employers to tell, friends to tell, belongings to sell, career to protect...and of course, family to enjoy!
  2. Great to see all these grants. Just a sanity check, my wife is the sponsor so we’ve requested her Australian police check (&UK) but presumably I don’t need to request one as the applicant? I’ve never lived there but have visited 4 times. I can’t see the wood for the trees! Thanks, Ben
  3. Ah, not sure how we stand, my wife was born in the UK but moved to Adelaide aged 9 and grew up there (at which point she was granted citizenship) - her 7 her family returned to the UK 10 years later. Unfortunately her father passed away a few years after returning, the rest of her immediate family returned to Australia and she remained here with me.. Ha, not sure if this is better or worse? we've uploaded her birth certificate, British passport, Australian passport and Australian citizenship.
  4. Hi, sounds good - similarly we are married with dual national kids so also hoping that this helps - and we only submitted a couple of months apart so could be similar timescales. Fingers crossed they continue to grant the same rate as recently.
  5. Hi, Yes, should have mentioned this, we've uploaded 2 of those, one from my sister-in-law who lives in Adelaide, and another from a lifelong friend who now lives in Perth (& is now also an Australian citizen) - both had them certified. Thanks
  6. Hi TFS, I cant give you a specific answer just yet but I may experience a delay on medical grounds - I lodged my application at the end of November and did decided to do my medical the same week so that it could be pre-loaded - the urine test indicated that I had Diabetes...every thing else was fine. So, I was referred to my GP and I have a 3 month follow up blood test in a fortnight to see where I'm at - hopefully my bloods will be normal again and I can ask my GP to put this in writing so I can upload,....but if not then I'm expecting it to delay everything when a case officer is assigned. Looking at the wonderful spreadsheet that CEP uploads, I could be just a few weeks away from an RFI - so I'll know more then and happy to share the news here. In terms of pre-loading and just to change topic for a second, have a question about pre-loading: This week, I've applied for my police check and my wife (sponsor) has applied for the Australian and British police checks. Medical was done back in November I've uploaded my Form 80 and my Form 1221, my wife has completed her Form 40SP (we've also both done all the financial/relationship evidence etc) Is there anything else that people have done to try and eliminate any RFI's? Thanks,
  7. Hi All, Looks like a few people have had some great news of late, very happy for you all. We're patiently waiting for a CO (I think) - we lodged my application on 26th November 2018 - I did the medical shortly afterwards and had a shock T2 Diabetes diagnosis...Not the best start, anyway, I've smashed 3 stone off since December so that's all under control and hoping to get the all-clear next month (I say all clear - what that means is that my blood sugar is now at a normal level). Anyway, that aside, I wanted to ask about my wife (I'm the applicant - wife has citizenship but has lived in the UK for 22 yrs, we've been together 17 years, married for 5 and have a 1&3yr old who both have citizenship by descent). We've completed and attached the 40SP Form - Partner Sponsorship along with a few other docs - Bit that's through my Immi account. Should my wife also create her own Immi Account? Will my wife need to get an Australian Police Check? (Even though she only lived there from Age 9 - 18 yrs old? And finally, should I apply for my UK Police check and pre-load or do most wait until asked? We'll be moving to Adelaide at some point this year we hope to be with my wife's family....Although it doesn't seem real yet. Thanks all
