@JetBlast what entŕy date did you get ?They seem to be funny about TB. It's not just in recent times either.
My Aunty and Uncle have lived in Australia for 40 years. At first they got refused as my Aunty had TB when she was a child. They sent the department of immigration a letter laying it on thick saying how upset they are and how they thought they could contribute to Australia. They got a letter back saying they changed their mind and the visa had been granted. Those days are long gone now. I can't see that working now. -
I know 2 who got 489 grant todayyes, i hope! cant wait more. [emoji846]- 1

In the other group I saw 190 for Queensland come through.Just wondering, is it all 489s that have been granted so far? I'm hoping our 190 will come in a similar timeframe but dont think I've seen a 190 granted for a fair while ... meh!- 1

Yeah i saw that too.fingers crossedJust saw a visa grant that came through today on the spreadsheet - direct grant and applied on Nov 10th, so 100 days. Hopefully, this means they're still moving forward as well as clearing the backlog.
Maybe Jonno, Jenki and Renault won't be too far to go...... -
Congratulations@Kaleem190 Visa Granted today 18/02/2019, 6.5 weeks after submitting the medicals -
No you can't. As far as I'm aware, while applying for grant you should be able to justify what's in your eoi. Secondly it won't add any value, as your how kuch points you have only matter until you get invite.once you get the invite dont think points play major role.
Hi Renault,
Can we claim points which were not claimed at the time of invitation? My husband has skill his skill assessed, but we did'nt claimed points while filing visa due to the fear of refusal because of mismatch between two applications.Anyways waiting for direct grant ,uoloaded everything, filed visa on 23November.Thanks in advance -
Unless it comes as a direct grant. Then I would prefer not hearing. but irrespective they should let you know if your case is looked into or not.We atleast we might hear something soon then, just with CO contact atleast you know it's been looked at. The not hearing a thing is the worse. -
[emoji3516]. 90 days and counting [emoji52][emoji53] . I've also included my wife in the application and claimed points for her as well. Guess that's why it's taking bit longer. Anyone else with similar situation? Is anyone else going crazy waiting for their visa grant???!!!
Honestly I don’t think a minute goes by without me thinking about it [emoji30].
I’ve coped up till this point by focusing on the process, but now all that is left to do is wait and it’s driving me nuts!!!

@jelica When did you lodge your Visa application?Exciting stuff, good luck with all the planning, its gonna be a busy few months for you. We were hoping for May but it all depends on the visa .... and it still says RECEIVED! meh! I guess as ling as we get it eventually, all good [emoji16] -
Agree. I got my assessment done via Vetassess. They contacted my references via email with certain sets of questions, same for both the references on their official email address.Hey mate, I got my skill assessment through Vetassess. They contacted my current employer. I provided number of my head chef. They tried his personal number but couldn't get through so they called him on work number. Only asked him couple of questions. Couple of my friends also got verification call at their work place from Vetasses, so be prepared.- 1

Good point@jonno1981Say they do increase the requirement of the 887 to 5 years, how can the current 489 meet this as it only lasts for 4 years? Surely they’d honour the pre-existing 489’s with the 2 year stipulation for 887?- 1

It's only noise, nothing concrete there & I agree with@Mercury, it will only be applicable for visas applied after the announcement date. My consultant told me since we've applied for 489 with the condition of 2 years, 5year rule whenever that may happen won't apply to us.That should be for any future visas from the daye of announcement? -

Good luck with your application. When did you lodge your visa application and for which occupation?Hello everyone,
First of all I would like to mention that I have been following this forum since page 8... so for a few months, but have just decided to join the conversation.
My wife and I have been trying to immigrate to Australia for about 2 years - mainly due to several IELTS fails, waiting for high points to drop and etc.
We have lodged our application on the 30th of November and have been eagerly waiting for an email literally every day (I know...it might take forever...).
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and wish everyone who is waiting for a grant a very good luck!
I hope to be able to contribute to the feed with any information I have currently gathered :)- 1

Hi Alka.. glad to know that your application has advanced. 10th Marksheet are generally considered. I remember submitting the same while applying for my passport. The ielts of your husband should do as well. It has validity of 2 years. Good luck with your application! Please keep the group updated.Hi - CO contacted today & asked for below 2 documents
1/ My birth certificate (which i dont have. I have given my 10th marksheet for the same. Do they consider that?
2/ The other document they asked is my husband's function english evidence. his ielts test is dated may 2017. will that be applicable? -

Yeah. We can do what we can! Good luck with your medicals and Police clearance. My agent told me it would probably take around 4-5 months.

Okay. Just to give you a perspective. I know a friend of mine applied for Vic-190 in June'18 for Software tester with 75 points. She's yet to receive invite from Vic. Not sure if this is entirely related to yours in spite both the occupation are related to ICT.ICT Project Manager 190-Vic with 75 points and 489-SA with 80 points
