  1. We applied on mind of January 2020 in Melbourne area. Still no news. Don’t know what to do. Any suggestions?
  2. Hi guys, could someone update a spreadsheet. I can’t believe it, didn’t get an email from MA today, went to check my immi account and found out that my visa was granted!!! they didn’t ask for any documents, it just went from received to finalise. does anybody know what do I have to do once my baby is born, which should be any day now. Do I have to add him to my visa or he is actually becoming an Australian citizen, so I will need to get him a local passport. Would appreciate any response. Just stay positive and believ that your visa will come very soon. I also lost hope after I didn’t get visa, before new year, as i thought that baby will come before I get visa, but what a great news come into my house today, got visa and my son will be a first member of our family with Aussie passport)))
  3. Yes, I am the same. Baby due date is 4 of January, and it would be such a great thing to get visa before, so he can become an Australian citizen. But I lost my hope already. Once he is born, will need to get a birth certificate and submit it to our application and pay for additional person of course (((
  4. Hi guys, does anyone know if we’re eligible for any payment from government once we have a baby, if we’re on 457 visa, but applied for 186 visa? I mean the same way as we can use Medicare. Thanks

  6. I recently spoke with my MA, and he told me that now they can see that most applicants get result in 12 months. He also said that they have some sort of meeting in July with others MA and submitted a complaint to prime minister about processing time, as it is an absurd. And employers did the same, as they need skilled workers to fill up the position. So everyone is pretty pissed off of this situation. I just hope that it will start to move quicker than it is now. Most of my friends, who applied a 1.5 years ago, got their PR in 6 months. And we have to wait twice longer. That is totally unfair.
  7. I hope everyone, who applied for 186 visa in February 2018 will get their visas this week, including me
  8. Yes,I hope to get visa before my baby born,so he becomes a citizen. That would great.
  9. Could be, but I decided to keep Bupa until I get PR, just don’t want to give a chance to migration to find anything what can cause complications during processing time)))
  10. Yes it says “adequate “, which means if you don’t have Medicare you should organise something else, in this case private health insurance such as Bupa. What I am saying, that you should maintain your “adequate” health insurance while your 457 visa is still valid, even if you already got your interim Medicare card. We have interim Medicare, got it once lodged 186 application and using it all the time, because wife is pregnant and it covers everything, didn’t pay a cent. So I thought I could cancel my Bupa, asked my MA and she told me that we have to keep Bupa. I didn’t trust her much, so I called immigration department and they told me that while my 457 still in effect I can’t get rid of Bupa, but once my 457 expires and bridge visa will come in effect then I will be able to do so.
  11. Yes, you still have to keep your private health insurance while your 457 visa is valid. Once you move to your bridge visa then you can cancel it. I am at the same situation, spoke to migration department and they told me so. If you will cancel your private health insurance then you brige 457 visa requirements which is “you have to have private health insurance “. That doesn’t make sense!but it is what it is
  12. Yes you have to pay, and it is quite expensive too. They want to make money on everything
  13. I don’t know if you can change it during your wait time, but I got my 457 visa while I was working in TAS, and then company offers me permanent position in VIC, my MA said that this not a problem as I still working for same company on same position. I just had to apply for 186 visa instead of 187.
  14. Can someone add me to spreadsheet please applied on 28.02.18 186 TRN production manager 2 people status Received still waiting and hope to get visa any day. Medical and police done after couple of weeks after application had been lodged.
  15. How are they taking application for processing? Some people get visa from last year, which is ridiculous, and then we have some who applied on March. It is a very big gap in between. I applied on 28 of February, still received (((
  16. Just a question, Can my status still be saying receive without changing to process and I will get my visa. Or it should change to process first and only after they will grant visa?
  17. Hi everyone, could you please add me to the spreadsheet. Applied on 28.02.2018, nomination and visa 2 people HR country TRN Poduction manager done medical checkups after couple of weeks after lodgement, because MA said so. Didn’t hear anything yet. Spoke to MA , she said that nomination was approved, don’t know if it is true or not))) Status in Immi account saying Received. Hope to get good news soon, really tired of waiting, probably as everyone else. Wish all of us can get golden email tomorrow
