  1. But she also said that others in same role/ same company were accepted and no chart was requested. So it is not equal for everyone. Every day I just seem to hear worse news. Hard to stay positive in the current climate.
  2. How absurd and unfair. Really makes me wonder what goes on in there. I just can't believe they just dump you like that. ' Oh we don't have all the info we need to make a decision, we could easily ask for it, orrrr we could just keep numbers and wait times lower and just reject' Maybe the CO had a bad day. Did you supply a letter stating genuine need for you in your position? And did you use an MA? Did you appeal and reapply at same time?
  3. Yeah thanks for that folks. Too many people trying to scam the system making it an extra hard and long process for people like me.
  4. Congrats!! so happy for you. I know you are a long waiter also. I have a feeling it'll be today
  5. You can lodge your application in 2 parts (company nomination, then personal application) or both together (quicker outcome). You cannot see when they open the nomination (company part) as this contains private company info, but when a decision is made on this part you will be informed. ' received' just means they have got your application but has not been opened.
  6. If you have followed this forum for a while, I think there is a pattern-- definitely roles that are now removed from wanted list taking a v long time.
  7. My guess is occupation and company size/ turnover play big parts. With some staffing issues thrown in.
  8. That's absolutely crazy. So they requested an updated police check for a country you hadn't been to since the last police check?
  9. If you have not left Aus for more than 3 months, I think you only need updated AFP police check, not home country.
  10. I just hateeee being ripped off. And also BUPA centre is miserable. Everyone sits there in matching gowns waiting for their number like its the end for them
  11. Thanks. I was thinking I might do my AFP as its only $40 or so. I realllyyyy don't want to re-do medicals as I have already spent so much on this visa and can't really afford it. Especially when all the time/ effort of last one was pointless. I had no medical issues - praying for a wonderful CO having a great day
  12. Hey Shawn, Are you applying from LR or HR country, and had your medicals expired also? Our situations are almost identical, but my application is still 'received' Just deciding whether to renew AFP checks and medicals, or risk further delay.
  13. Yes. While I would never do such a thing, this whole process has taken such a toll on me and those around me. Financial, stress, the unknown, hurdles along the way. I was so pleased to eventually submit my application after 5 years here in Aus but since then there have been more stresses and the wait time has tripled (when I applied I was told 6-8 months). My friends and family have moved away so I have no hometown/ friends to go back to in the UK. Myself and my Aus partner feel like we cannot make long-term plans, my expired police checks and health checks werent even looked at, not a day goes by where I don't stress about the outcome, especially with rumours and growing concerns in changes in immigration such as removal of my job title, and rejecting companies with small turnovers. I also may have to make a decision next month on whether to withdraw and apply for a more certain partner visa as, as of Feb my 457 runs out as this has taken so long (I mean if I wait for answer and it is a no when I am on bridging visa, I cannot then apply for another visa) . This means all my expenses and time and effort and stress was for nothing which is so disheartening, as well as having to pay another $7k for a new visa. I try to be positive and know I am in a better position than others, but you still cannot help it affecting you, especially seeing so many Feb/March approvals and knowing your life plans come down to 1 persons decision. Praying for an Xmas miracle and good luck to everyone.
  14. Correct me if I am wrong, but this shows they have less applications submitted, yet process fewer per month now, and triple the wait times?
  15. Last updated: 17 October 2018 (for month ending 30 September 2018) Not yet I dont think.Check back Monday.
  16. Hey, did your company sponsor many people on 457? Im curious as to why they were so suspicious even after their visit. 5 officers would be so intimidating! @RP007 you too?
  17. I do see a slight trend with Customer Service, Cooks and Youth workers seeming to have to wait a long time and IT/Tech coming through a bit faster. Although I suppose this forum is only a small insight into all applications nationwide.
