  1. Haha. You have nothing to compare against Jon. Hopefully we all hear some news within next few weeks. Honestly thought we would of had contact by now.
  2. Doesn't seem to be many electrician general applications for me to get a rough idea. Seen one on there given a direct grant in 4 months but that was to NSW. Be nice just to get contact though, so atleast we know it's being looked at. Fingers crossed for us all.
  3. Yes, my wife said she has seen people who lodged end of December getting grants. Then my agent messaged me nearly 2 weeks ago saying she had a client assessed who lodged a week before mine, which then had me hoping it was going to be close for contact.
  4. Hi everyone. Does anyone know or have seen any 190/489 grants lately? I'm not on Facebook but my wife is and has said there has been loads of 189 visas being granted. I genuinely thought we might have had contact now being 15/16 weeks. It's been even longer for you hasn't it jenki?
  5. No worries, I was interested to know as we're a family application also. I don't know what to think now as they seem to be looking at dates all over the place.
  6. Don't wanna get my hopes up. But according to the email they've looked at a lodgement day of around Dec 10th.
  7. I've just had a email from our MA saying the following.
  8. Been pretty quiet on here lately. Hell of a lot going on. Sold the house for starters. Thought I would cash in whilst I can with the uncertainty going around. Still patiently waiting. 3 months is relatively a short period I guess, but it's starting to feel like forever now. Fingers crossed us November/December folk hear something very soon.
  9. I'm sure I clicked quote so I'm not sure what happened with my last post haha.
  10. Hi all, loving the thread and hope one day to meet you on the beach for a beer. Myself and my husband have decided on SA for a state sponsorship (hopefully) we are very early in the process and undecided between the 489 or the 190 489 visa gives us 70 points, 190 gives us 65, we're worried 65 may not be enough for 190 by the time we apply. We have two children aged 15 & 11 (16 & 12 by the time we move, after eldest has done her GCSE's) my husband is an electrician and the main applicant and I'm a critical care nurse although I am not currently working as a nurse and I doubt I will be when we emigrate as I have CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) we have had this looked into by a medical team who feel my condition will not have any affect on our visa application. Very excited to be starting the process and its great reading how far some of you have come and how exciting some of you are moving in the next few months. Welcome aboard. I'm also an electrician and applied for a 190 visa with 65 points Had the invite back within 3 weeks after submitting my EOI and now a few days off 3 months into visa lodgement. Good luck, and if your husband needs any advice regarding skills assessment then please feel free to contact me and I will try and help out the best I can.
  11. Hasn't the age limit for Irish and Canadians gone upto 35 for a whv? Or did I misread this somewhere?
  12. Yes, but the OP didn't mention a 189, she asked if she could apply for a 190 Victoria even though electrician general isn't on their list.
  13. I couldn't see it on Victoria's list for 190 state sponsored. My bad.
  14. You will not be able to gain a 190 sponsored visa from Victoria if electrician is not on the list. I know south Australia has it on theirs as that's the route I've gone down (also an electrician) and I know NSW did have it also on theirs also. If you have enough points to apply for a 189 visa then this gives you the option to land anywhere in Australia.
  15. Yeah, I've just seen. Pretty decent if you have a phone already, especially with the free calls to UK landlines and mobiles.
  16. Check Aldi mobile jet. I've seen some good deals with them and think you can do a coverage locator.
  17. My MA also confirmed with what you have just said also Joseline. She has had contact for end of November on some of their applications. Hopefully things move on a little now.
  18. Congrats on the grant. Can't wait for that feeling haha.
  19. Hi Mikey. I sat my assessment with future skills international at the down under centre in London. I can give you pointers from mine but it maybe slightly different as yours is with a alternatively provider.
  20. We atleast we might hear something soon then, just with CO contact atleast you know it's been looked at. The not hearing a thing is the worse.
  21. Have you had any form on CO contact Jonno? I'm only on day 60 and starting to drive me nuts already haha.
  22. Wow, that's a decent time. I've seen ppl on here who have been waiting since June and now losing their minds. Not expecting contact until early march but as I've front loaded then would love a direct grant.
  23. Hi When did you lodge jonandsophie? I lodged nearly 2 months ago now, not like I'm expecting anything as it says waiting time is 7-8 months atm. Front loaded everything though, so could be lucky.
  24. Was yours a 189 or 190? You all booked up with flights now mate?
