I read the letter from CO regarding functional English requirements again and it is clearly said in the letter that the OVERALL BAND SCORE of at least 30 based on the four test components can prove that you have functional English. So it is the confirmation from CO and DHA that only overall band score of 30 is sufficient. Thanks for your confirmation from your MA. Now I can resubmit the PTE report for my husband.

Hi everyone, I would really appreciate any suggestion for my case. CO contact for my spouse's functional English evidence. He took a PTE test which has the overall score of 37 but speaking skill is only 26 (Listening, reading and writing are all above 30). Just wondering if he satisfies the requirement of functional English? Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi guys, I am new here and I am preparing my 187 DE visa application. I have one question relating to skill assessment and looking for any help. I am applying under nominated occupation: University lecturer. I have a PhD degree from an Australian University. The question is If I submit my visa application now, do I need a skill assessment? This occupation is exempted from a skill assessment under 186, but I did not find any statement saying that it is exempted under 187. I searched few agents' websites and they say normally visa 187 does not require a skill assessment unless we have qualifications from overseas. I am a bit confused here. Any help is really appreciated.
