Hi everyone, I want just hoping to see how's everyone else's processing times going so far? We are applying from NSW, visa application was lodged on November and medicals were done in December so now we're just waiting to see what happens. Australian immigration website is currently showing 75% of applications get a response at their 4 months mark and 90% get a response at their 7 months mark. We were hoping to be on the lucky 75% but that hasn't been the case so far. How's everyone else doing? Thanks

Hi Newgirl, It was nearly a year ago you started this post and I was wondering how did you got on with your 189 application? Did you received an invite quickly? Was it easy to switch from 457 to 189? Thank you!

Thank you Verystormy, I will as soon as I can I'll make sure we apply for our pr. I just hope is easy enough to apply while on 457 and that we don't have any problems with my husbands employer as I don't want them to think that we are trying to do this so my husband can go and work for somebody else or something like that, we just basically want to secure our future that's all. I would love to say that it's different and we are going with a pr straight away but we aren't and I need to try and see how can I amend that the best I can My husband has 60 points just now 65 if opting for 190, do you think that it could the possible to submit an application for a 190 visa while on 457? If so, how do we deal with my husband's employer? Should my husband inform him? Is that mean that if we receive an invitation after eoi and we apply we would be put in a bridging visa meanwhile? Hi everyone, I'm moving to Australia with my husband and two kids next month At the moment we couldn't afford to go on a pr visa (as much as we would love to!) but we have been approved for a 457 visa and we are heading over there in the next four weeks We are going to try and save up straight away for a permanent visa so my questions are - Is it possible to apply for a different visa such as 189 or 190 while on a 457? - Should we inform my husband's employer of our intentions? - Are we better just waiting two years and hope they will sponsor us on a 187? (regional Australia) - My husband is a Diesel mechanic what are our better chances 189 or 190? - If both visas are possible, which one is the best one to apply for?
