@Rosiejaq quickest way of changing passport number is to do it via your immi account. You have to upload a certified copy of passport. Post office certified mine.  Then check your VEVO account to see its gone through. They are taking months to change it if you do it the other way via form 929. Take old passport with you etc just in case. Good luck.

I filled the form and took both passport and letter of acknowledgment when you summit the form .

    Hello

Another question. My mother is currently in Australia on visitors visa. I believe that she is not supposed to be in the country during the 143 grant. However given the unpredictable timeline after submission of documents, I am not sure if she should leave the country right away after we submit the requested additional documents or should we wait to hear back from immigration? Or should we email our case officer and ask for advice?

Does anyone else have any experience like this? Any advice on how to handle this situation?

    TIA!

You will get email to be off shore .

Hi guys, my parents are in Australia at the movement and we are waiting for 2nd vac. So when there PR are granted, do they have to fly there native country or any other country is ok? Like Fiji or Bali

    Thanks

They only ask you to be off shore so it means anywhere outside Australia

Good Morning, our visa has bee granted today. 7th October 19.

Can anyone please clarify.  It states on the Visa that we must enter Australia before 7th October 2020. But I thought I read something that you must enter before police checks or medical runs out. Much appreciated.

    Hi

Pretty sure nothing to do with checks or medical . Must enter date is very important

    Hi Everyone,

I am new to this page. It's so good to see timelines and update from people on 143 visa. As you can't find this information anywhere else.

I have applied for my Father's 143 visa on 02/06/2016. So just wondering if anyone has any rough idea when I will be hearing something from the Department regarding request of documents or for AOS.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi guys,

I hope those who have lodged their AOS application online through mygov in the past can help me with the questions below.

Q1. What is the visa applicant file reference number?

On the request for AOS letter, I can find 3 set of numbers:
Client ID: xxx xxx xxx xx (total 11 digits)

Application ID: xxx xxx xxx (total 9 digits)

File Number: BCCxxx/xxx xxxx (3 letters, 11 digits and 1 slash)

I assumed it is the File Number they are asking for, so I tried to key that into the box provided. However, the box only accepts 11 digits, therefore there is no way I can fit the whole 'File Number' in. The client ID however is exactly 11 digits, should I enter it as 'visa applicant reference number'?

Q2. Visa applicant details - address

On the form, no other countries can be selected, it has to be an Australian address. Should I use my residential address instead?

Hope someone can help, thank you,

    Hi

No. A visitor visa is for people who “visit”  -ie they return home at the end of their visit. So he cant just come over without a return ticket.

Are you sure ? last two times he came on one way ticket only i want to check again as last date to arrive is 6 june 2019 .
