    Hey Sharon

Prior to the 2nd payment request, I got a sort of courtesy email saying they are working on the cases which are ready to finalise and advise to be patience at this time etc. in addition to that, I was not required to provide further documents in that email. That email reached me a few days ago.

I suppose I  provided a very comprehensive documents at the time of lodgements in 2015 except Form 80 because it would be expired by the time they asked for. In the last 5 months, I have been in contact with a few different people at PVC team 1, none of them claimed to be a CO. I reckon all of them could be processing officers who take care of documents collected and organised then Case officers make a final decision on those prepared docs.

it does take time to pass documents from one staff to the next.

    Cheers

    Peter

did you write any email to them asking time frame ?

    Hey Hannah HD

    Thank you for your message.

I lodged my mum’s visa application when she was in China.

I have no idea how the PVC process and review the cases at present. Have you received a courtesy email from PVC team 1advising that they are working the cases ready to finalise and those cases will be assigned a CO  to review prior to 2nd VAC payment request issue? I was lucky one that I got that email a few days ago and a formal letter of 2nd VAC payment request was followed via E-mail Friday.

I suppose yours won’t take much longer because a quite few applications lodged in April have received the courtesy emails or 2nd payment requests, now it is time to let PVC work through those cases. It is a matter of time.

    Kind regards

    Peter

    hi Peter

    congratulations !!!!

what was the last email you got before the second payment.

my last email was they asked me supporting documents on 14 March and all submitted 23 March and no reply after that.

To be clear, are you saying that applications currently in the system with children under 25 should be OK?   Do people who are applying now have to comply with the lower age for all children?

Does the age limit apply to the time of application, or the time of grant?

at time of applying its 23 but at time of decision it is unclear

Tere is no need to apologise. It is obvious from your many posts you are worried about whether this visa will be granted. I am just saying you are asking all these questions about the same thing when you have an expert working for you. Just ask them and if they're on holiday wait until they get back. They know your situation so you'd hope they would have picked up on your situation and likehood of approval or problems.

With all your education you must be a clever person. Your agent maybe on holiday now but surely you'd have asked these questions along time ago? Just makes no sense to me that you're asking a forum of people who are not qualified when you have an agent working your case who is have thought would have this all under control.

well i think most of the people on this forum are those who have applied visas by their own or using agent ,so we not after any expert advice its all about experience eg  hot topic right now is dependency so all those  who are asking questions here actually wants to know has someone gone through this ..............

What are the parameters of dependent child? Being 24years and full time University student, Bank statement is that quite enough?

zaki do you know if my sister gets 173 visa can she apply for 143 after 2 years as she will not be dependent at that time?????????????????????

You need to apply for the Child visa before they turn 25. But the child must have been financially dependent on you since leaving high school, which is best demonstrated by uninterrupted study and no work. Any breaks in study of more than 6 months will be questioned. It might be hard to apply for a Child visa if you have only known them since last year.

    hi Lisa

what about visa 173 my sister turned 25 today and we lodged file for visa 173 in april 2015 i got letter from CO saying he is satisfied she is student and demanded more documents which I send on 23 March and now waiting . what do you think are the chances and how long will it take

I've just called the Immi Office to double check if they have received my documents submitted in Jan and Feb. After waiting time of more than 1 hour, I can finally reach them. The only answer they can say to you is "You have to wait and we will call you" X2 X3 X4 Xn, same answer for every single question I asked.

I'm speechless now. :nah: We are working so hard and paying so much tax for the Government,  now paying for very high visa application fee and we ended up getting very unpleasant experience when dealing with them. They are not helpful at all. If anyone here wants to know how my feeling is like now, you can give it a try.

just send email to parents@border.gov.au with no subject and you will know processing of all parent visas
