  1. Thanks Cal. I’d googled them too and will head up to Osborne Park to check them out. In the UK we had used Ceramic Tile Warehouse and their sistershop Park Street Interiors and Stone Gallery in Camberly who we always found had great stock and gave maximum discounts without all the messing around and all in one location....was hoping there was another secret magic bullet over here! thanks again. olly
  2. Hello all, We are looking at renovating and older style property. Im aware that costs here can be high, but I wanted to know as a base if there was an equivalent to Magnet or Bathroom Warehouse here? We live in Perth, WA so either local or I guess we could get something shipped from over east (all comes from there anyway it seems!) Thanks in advance for any help!
  3. Hi all, Hello from a hot and humid Bali. We’ve just had to come here to allow our Visa grant which came through over dinner tonight. We applied 1/5/18 and were recently asked to leave the country (10 days ago I think). My wife came in on a 600 visa, notifying Immi of the intent. We have three kids and married 9 years. For those of you concerned, if you are clearly a genuine relationship I’d advise against concern, just do be open and completely honest. I think ours took a while all in, but we came here in September as we planned in Feb (2-3 months before submitting) and all has turned out well. The system is predominantly good, but play by the rules and do it right and you won’t have a problem. to all those waiting, have faith, have patience and all will be good. If you do come in on a 600 visa and have to depart I can highly recommend Bali. But it is a short holiday from what feels like a long holiday... love to all.
  4. Hi all, we’ve just had the email through advising our visa is ready to be finalised and asking us to leave the country for 5 days and to leave in the next 28 days! My wife is presently in Aus on a 600 visa! Very exciting! We applied 1 May 2018, the final clarifications and checks seemed to take forever, we had requests back in October for sponsor police checks. good luck to everyone.

  6. Hi All, We've been long time lurkers on this site, but I thought I'd just add our positivity. We lodged on 1st May in London office, and overnight have just been asked for partner's police records check. Applicant had meds and police front loaded. We are in Australia with the applicant (my wife) here on a 600 visa (kids and I are Australian citizens). Anyone thinking about coming over on the tourist visa while waiting for their spouse visa to come through I would highly recommend getting the 600 visa. The cost is minimal (£60 if I recall), and you can stay in country for up to 12 months (rather than 90 days at a time under e-visitor) and then everything is above board and correct. We used an agent in the end just for the peace of mind and they felt very strongly that this was the way to do it as you have then been totally upfront with immi about your plans. Given the cost and time its not worth the risk. Finally, a good luck to jon the hat - looks like he deserves some luck soon! Best. OB
  7. Thanks Iron Chef, very grateful for the feedback. I think therein lies my problem - my wife does not yet have her visa through so I would have to apply for the car in my name and sadly leave the bikes.
  8. Hi Iron Chef, I am trying to get to grips with all of this right now. I would like to bring both my car and motorcycle to Australia from the UK. Is there a way to do this? The car is a 2013 Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE Luxury with 72,000 miles on the clock. Has air con etc etc etc. Value in the UK according to webuyanycar.com is £21,370. The motorcycle is a Ducati SF848 (Streetfighter 848) with 6,500 miles on the clock. Value in the UK is approx £6,000. Both are registered in my name and both are in the UK. We will be travelling to Perth, WA. My wife has applied for partner visa but not yet granted, so may not be able to use her allowance? Is there another way? Regards.
  9. That's fantastic. We are just doing ours now, and have been concerned by the time. We have been married for 9 years and have three children so hopefully will be straight forward. Which Visa agent did you use?
