  1. OFFSHORE APPLICANTS (subclass 143/173)

When your application is allocated to an assessing officer, you or your authorised contact may be asked to provide more documents, including but not limited to, Assurance of Support (subclass 143 only), police certificates and health clearances to finalise your application.

We are currently assessing applications lodged up to and including 30 April 2015.

At present, what PVC team frustrates me is the fact that a few applications beyond 20/4/2015 have been contacted by CO or requested for 2nd visa payment.

I got a reply this afternoon and the lady from PVC still claimed strongly that current assessment was 20/4/2015 and none of applications later than that date have been assessed by CO, which is not true at all. It is so obvious that we all share the progress of our own applications and we have noticed that there are a few granted applications!!

I am really getting upset about so called “assess in a time manner” is it lie?

@whataday - wait till the processing date reaches your date then you can ask immi. I think now even if you ask still no use.

Log in to mygov --> centerlink --> there's an application form for AoS.

The supporting documents are all submitted online, but you still need to visit the office for a 100 point ID check (which is a little ridiculous, because they already have all of this on file from our other centrelink applications). Hopefully they streamline this at some stage.

Oh I remember now. Early this year, all Centerlink online service will be combined in MyGov account. We are unable to log in my Centerlink app anymore. So maybe that is the reason why you @thomas1965 can log through MyGov. It will speed up the whole processing system.

Yes ... but the instructions were clear online about this.  The instructions after lodging the bond at the commonwealth bank are not so clear in the letter from Centrelink.

The telephone interviewer for my AoS said they're getting overtime to process AoS applications, due to a backlog. I got my phone call on Saturday - just 1 day after lodging the application, so it seems like they've really streamlined the whole AoS process (for now at least). It's been surprising quick, given that most people are quoting several weeks/months to do the AoS process.

Which income criteria they assess for your AOS? I notice you lodged your AOS application after 1 April 2018.

The bond was paid on 05/04 and Centrelink informed that day

@MikenC ~ not the bond request letter. You’ll need to email to DIBP The Acceptance letter. After you paid the bond, bring the letter from CBA to Centerlink, then they’ll Issue a letter to let you know your AOS has been accepted in around 1-2 weeks.

    Thanks for your advice,Tina

I have not got CO yet. Have you got CO or just received a 2nd payment request directly?

I've got an email from pvc team 1 to request 2nd VAC, then at the bottom there was Case Officer's Name and Position Number. So I think if we have all the requested documents, CO will contact you to request for 2nd VAC. Another case is if there is still any outstanding docs, the CO will contact you first before request for 2nd payment.

    Cheers

Peter, maybe they'll be all happened next week, 2nd VAC request and Visa grant. Just get the money ready, pay as soon as you get the request, then visa will be granted within a week.

If your parents are offshore then it should be approx as little as a week or two of them receiving funds. As we were onshore on a 12 month visa we had to supply a copy of our travel plans and it was granted the same day we flew to Fiji.

@nyorksgrannie ~ thank you very much. My parent is offshore and the cheque was sent to IMMI on 10/4/18. Now just wait to be received and visa granted.

Thanks SusieRoo, that does make sense but still so stressful for those that applied at the same time under the old criteria and have yet to be told to sort their AOS stuff out.

I think the AOS new rules only applied for new application starting on 1/4/18. The old application wont be affected? Correct me if I'm wrong.
