Yes Ive got a 4 year degree - got all the necessary qualifications just concerned about actually getting a job before I emigrate.

I wonder if anyone can help?! I am looking at applying for a Visa as a Early Childhood Teacher but am a bit concerned about getting a job before I land in Oz. Has anyone had experience of gaining a job before they arrived in oz? if so how did you go about it? where there any extra checks you needed? do you apply for a recruitment agency? Any help at all would be great. I am open to do teaching in general when I am in Oz but know its not easy to get into over there.

thank you all for your help!!! i am going to do my english tests again to get a higher score which will bring me up to 70 points and then may consider a 190 visa to give me the extra 5 points.

Thanks for the reply, I am an Early Childhood Teacher and have had my skills assessed for this - from what I can tell there has not been many visas approved from this occupation - do I still need to get some more points to apply?

Hello, I am new to the forum and not sure if this has been discussed before - if it has i apologise. I am currently gathering paperwork to submit an expression of interest for 189 visa, however I have been doing some research and am not sure the 60 points I have are enough to be offered a Visa. How do they decide who to invite to submit a Visa application? It is purely on points? or do they take into account occupation too? Thanks
