  1. That's good to know thanks! No, my course was not one the pre-degree diploma courses. Do they basically want to see evidence of anything I claim to have done? I'm thinking of sending them:- -Nursing degree certificate + course transcript (sent from uni) -Mentorship course transcript -Critical Care course transcript -Statements of service from my NHS employer and the two agencies I've been working for that I'll tell them about.
  2. Thanks I might do that! I should wait for the online applications become live I suppose.. I'm pretty confident I'll be okay as I do know of someone with my qualification who was able to get registered with AHPRA and go and work in Aus a few years ago. Hers was a working holiday visa I think though.
  3. Hi Everyone I'm making a start on my application for a 190 State Sponsored PR visa as an ICU nurse. I'm 43 and have 4.5 years experience. - As ANMAC will be taking online applications in a week or so, is it a good idea to apply simultaneously for both AHPRA nursing registration and the ANMAC skills assessment at the same time? - I did a 2 year postgraduate nursing course in 2013 (which is above degree level 6) and was taught and assessed at postgraduate level 7. Has anyone else with this qualification gained visas? It's relatively new and I'm expecting a lot of "Your course is below degree level" responses when actually it's higher, and wondering how ANMAC will view it. Thanks for any advice! Lee
  4. Also, as ANMAC will be online from next year, do you know if they'll only be accepting uni course syllabuses and NMC registration info in digital formats or will they still accept posting the hard copies directly?
  5. Just tried it and got 55 points.. Annoyingly I'll have 60 points come October 2018 when I'll have 5 years work experience, but will hopefully have application well under way if not in the final stages by then. I'll be happy staying 2 years on a state sponsored visa tbh as long as I get to go to NSW. I don't know how else the 189 and 190 are different. I can consider that a bit further down the road but at the moment I just hope I'm doing the right thing by starting ANMAC and AHPRA at the same time!
  6. Think I'll rearrange my reconnaissance trip then!
  7. Can you no longer extend it to 12 months to present in person at AHPRA?
  8. Hi, I'm new to this forum and just getting my application underway for a 190 State Sponsored PR visa as an ICU nurse. I'm 43 and have 4.5 years experience (for some reason when I do visa assessments it says I can't get the 189 visa). As I'm doing the above from the start, should I start my AHPRA and ANMAC applications at the same time? I'll need to do the full ANMAC assessment as I don't have an AHPRA Notice in Principle acceptance. Also does it seem like it would be a good idea so I can get uni and the NMC to send their relevent documents to both organisations at the same time? I'll keep you up to date with how my application goes! Lee
