Back to general questions, does the waiting period start when you apply for the nomination or after the visa application? and what is the time frame after the nomination approval to get the visa?

What after the Nomination approval? My nomination has been approved on 13/7/2017 and still waiting for the visa (last step), I've contacted the immigration department many times and all that they can say is to wait does anyone know what's the time frame around this?
