  1. So happy. Still in disbelief. My kids have been running around laughing at me crying all afternoon. When i shouted out that we'd got PR, my daughter came rushing into the room horrified as she thought I'd shouted 'I think I've broke my arm!'
  2. My hubby was nominated as a production manager in the food industry. Good luck with yours!
  3. We've done it ... we've got PR!!!!! I checked the immiaccount about 2 hours ago and it said 'received', but just checked again and it said 'finalised'. I can hardly write this post due to tears rolling down my face and shaking of my hands. I can't believe it! We lodged on 18th April 2017 for a transition visa from 457, had nomination approved 04/10/2017 and had the visa granted today 05/10/2017. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting, it is rubbish I know as you can't plan your life and it feels as if your life is in limbo. Good luck everyone! Relieved but I just can't believe it's finally here. Best recheck the immiaccount again for the eighth time to confirm it! Hang on in there everyone, yours will be coming as well!
  4. Just contacted our immigration agent for an update as it's been six months since our application and nomination went in for 186 visa. She's just told me that the nomination has been approved so just waiting on the visa application at the moment. Hopefully not too long now!!!! The immiaccount still says 'received' but it must be 'open' now as the nomination has been approved. Timeline: nomination and Visa 186 Application submitted 18th April 2017; Nomination approved 04/10/2017
  5. No haven't received any email yet. Just says status 'received' on immi-account. We used an agent to submit our application. Good luck with your application.
  6. It's rubbish, isn't it! I feel glad that I'm not alone in this waiting game, but at the same time, I feel a bit cheesed off that we all have to wait for such a long time, especially for the applications that were put in several months ago. Good luck!
  7. No it's not 'poor me syndrome', it's just so hard having to wait and it is rubbish! I'm sure yours is on its way soon Good luck
  8. Congrats on your PR that is great! It's great that yours only took just over 3 months, and we have some friends who put their application in 2 weeks before ours and got it after about 9 -10 weeks! think that is why we are all so frustrated with immigration because there doesn't seem to be any sense in the way they carry out the applications - some get it quite quickly whilst others have to wait. Oh well just have to be patient!
  9. The first post on here, think it might become my second port of call every day following my daily date with the immiaccount website! Our timeline is as follows. Arrived in Oz on hubby's 457 visa in Feb 2015, and applied and nominated for 186 visa (transition pathway) both on 18th April 2017. Have just uploaded details on the spreadsheet, and noted it seems to average about 6 months+ for the application to be approved. I think the worst part for us is the waiting, as you can't plan your life until you get the decision, and it's so difficult as that decision will impact on you for the rest of your life. So, I'm hoping that as I'm writing this post, the case officer, who will eventually be assigned to us, is just about to open our application. I can but dream! Wish everyone on here well in the old waiting game! How is everyone else coping with the waiting?
