    Hi, Finally got PR! Waited for 11 months than CO assessed my case and asked for medicals to be re-done. 5 weeks later, visa granted! TRT, on shore, hospitality manager. Good luck everyone!

    Hi Raul,

    Hope this message finds you well.

    I have applied for 186 visa under the TRTS on June 15th this year as Hotel and Motel Manager in Sydney. At the time, I was told processing times were from 6-8 months, now Immigration website says 8-10 months. 

    1- Do you think this waiting time is going to increase?

    I was hoping that the longest waiting period would be 8 months, that said, I would receive an outcome for my application before the new regulations comes 1st of March 2018.

    2- If it takes longer than the 8 months in my case and the result of my application is done after March 1st, am I going to be affected by it, or due to my application being lodged before that am I, let's say, safe?

    3 Are there more changes to be done to 186 under TRTS before March 1st?

      Processing time are very erratic at the moment and can exceed the Department's published processing  times, as these are just a guide.

      Further minor changes are being introduced in December.

      March changes are unlikely to affect current TRT applications.

    Hi all and Raul Senise, I was about to apply for 186 and got told by my agent to hold off as she is not sure if there will be more changes to occupations come July 1st, I am a hotel manager, and have been sponsored for almost 4 years, I actually have 5 months of visa left. If I lodge my application and DIBP removes my occupation from the list, am I affect by it or once applied this means I'm safe? Also, if it does not change now and I am eligible to apply, once application is lodged and March 2018 changes come live and are bad news for me, am I affected by it as well? Cheers
