    We applied 31/10/16 for a 143.

Slowleh getting closer. It certainly helps to see other people’s posts on here!  It’s all so isolating otherwise.....

Have a look at the form 80 while your waiting and fill in as much as you can because when the email comes through asking for police reports, medicals etc it can be quite stressful trying to get everything together. If you’ve had a lot of different jobs trying to remember what month and year they all started and finished isn’t always easy. Also every holiday you’ve been on in the last 10years or if you travelled with your job every time you went out of the country. We are hoping to get our visa the beginning of 2020. You’re so right when you say it’s so isolating without these posts. Keep smiling. Shelagh

Hi All , any idea how long it will take for 2nd vac request

I dont know how to add signature

    Applied 143 3/0ct/2015

    Request for further documents 22/7/2019

Medical , form 80 and Aos done with approval 29/8/2019

Now waiting for 2nd VAC request

Marilyn posted on July 30th how to complete your profile (add signature) very easy when you know how. so if you look back a few pages to the 30th July you will find it.

Have you received your letter of acceptance for AOS?

At last medical done, form 80 and police clearances all submitted to immi.  All sent by email with standardised receipt. Thankfully the UK police clearance only took a week to arrive in the post, though they did take the longest time to process.  The waiting game now starts again and heaven only knows how long it will take to get the final go ahead for AOS and 2nd VAC payment to be made.  Any guesses? I know it could still be a few months from here but it really is starting to get exciting. It’s already taken nearly twice as long as initially anticipated .......

It’s difficult to predict really but my guess is around the beginning of 2020. That’s 5 months from when we got the email to start the next stage and looking at time lines it’s usually 5/6 months. It’s beginning to feel real and exciting...

Hi @Vincent92 wondering if you submitted everything (forms and supporting docs) and then went for your identity verification or did identity verification first at centrelink?

Hi Patience, my son and daughter in law done identity first and then the Aos on my gob. All on the 9/8 and were given a completion date of 20/09 but they weren’t sure if the date was just when they would check their doc by or to let them know if they had been successful. We are not expecting our visa until around Jan/Feb 2020. I know they have started the call for docs but looking on time lines over the last couple of years 6 months is about average. X

    Thanks Linda....I had checked that.

There was a lot of confusion going on around the time your application would of come up for a case officer. NYORKSGRANNIE applied on the 9.4.15 and got request for docs etc. on 20.10.17 but Ray and Geri applied 23.4.15 and didn’t get request until 24.4.17.     It was also when they tried to introduce the new requirements for AoS, causing even more problems. If you look back on pages from around 606 and a bit before you will be able to check time lines and might find one nearer to your date. I know Ray and Geri contacted Immi but can’t find the post at the moment, perhaps you could contact them via the messages and find out who they contacted. They have a post on page 606 24/4/18 if you click on their name you will get more info. I hope someone can help you very soon🤞

  6. Thanks  Bridgie, I will email when I receive the translation and if it comes back, I’ll apply on the paper application and send to Madrid. It might take a bit longer for the visa but we can’t go until all the dogs paperwork is completed anyway, which takes 6 months. Daughter in law and granddaughters are visiting for the 3 kings anyway.  Shelagh

  7. I think they are saying applications lodged today are estimated to take 50 months before they reach the top of the pile to start the next process of verifying documents etc. they can’t give you a time for completion  as everyone’s case is different and some will take longer to verify than others. If you look back at previous pages you will be able to see how accurate or not they have been with there assessment dates in the passed. You will also be able to look at time lines of a lot of the applicants giving you more information as to how long ASO took to be granted. It’s a waiting game with no crystal ball. Passed pages also give you a lot of information about moving firms, insurances, flights, some info on what to do when you arrive, bus passes, clubs to join etc. A lot of people only read the current posts and miss out on all the information that is available on the hundreds of pages before. Enjoy the read. Regards Shelagh

Hi Jellybean T, we sent our police checks through as they were,  never asked for my maiden name. We'll have to see how it goes.

Where did you go for your medical and did they give you any clue how it had gone?

Well done getting everything done so quickly, relax now with a nice cold beer, ready for the next step of actually moving there, which from Spain probably won't be straightforward.

I’ve messaged you Linda. But for anyone else Millennium Costa Rica Madrid. Excellent hospital and doctor. They can’t tell you if you’ve passed but she did say if they found a problem she would phone and let me know.€189 each

I seem to remember that you just listed all the names you had been known under so I listed maiden name variant, first married name variant and then change  to maiden name including change of first names through deed poll...no problem   They give you the chance to add quite a few I think

Thank Rosiejaq for the info but we don’t have those options on a Spanish form. If it comes back I will apply again but post it to Madrid with a covering letter requesting my maiden name be added.

Thanks for the heads up on the police certificate, just checked my wife’s as I couldn’t remember being asked about the maiden name and luckily for us it’s on there.emoji106.pngemoji106.png

I'll just have to submit mine without it and hope for the best as there is no where on the paper application or the electronic application to put a maiden name.

    Hello All

applied 143 visa 15 November 2015 and paid first payment

got receipt for same 11 December 2015

got request  email for police Certs , medicals. and form 80 the 6th August 2019 as we are in Australia on a 600 visa got medicals done 15 August with Bupa in Brisbane

have to say about Bupa such a professional visa medical centre staff so helpful

submitted form 80 , coloured full A4 copy’s of our passports and police certs by registered post 17 August  on this topic the copy of the passports my advice on this to save anyone any rejection of the passport copies take a photo of your passports with an good phone go to Office works and get them printed on quality paper in A4 and don’t forget these 2 copy’s have to be certified by a commissioner for justice or Oaths

my daughter has done the AOS application with Centrelink which she said was a very polite and friendly encounter

got an email Monday 19 from immigration my wife’s police clearance cert was refused because her maiden name was not stated on the document so warning to all future applicants make sure the maiden name is on the police certificate or on all documents and copy’s of passports are correct

    hope this info will help

We’ve just completed our Spanish police report and are in the process of having them translated, there is nowhere to apply for it with my maiden name. What country are your police reports for?   We sent colour copies via email of our passports and then they don’t need to be certified, we will do the same with the police reports and translations. I’ll let you know if my police report is accepted without my maiden name. Fingers crossed.  Shelagh

Best not to arrange this until you have been asked for documentation as each PCC is only valid for one year.

I understand what you’re saying Linda and agree that you shouldn’t submit them before you receive the request but familiarizing yourself with the forms.. where to access them, the information needed to complete them etc is a good thing to start early. Once you get that all important email asking for everything your mind goes blank and nothing seems to go to plan. I wish we had started the process of familiarizing ourselves with the forms and filling them in as far as possible while still waiting in the queue.....Keep Smiling. Shelagh

Hi Jellybean T, you're asking about Spanish police checks. We are processing ours through our Spanish solicitor. We had to go to the equivalent of centrelink here in Spain to prove our identification. It is all done on line and the check comes back on line.

We are using an agent in Perth so we will scan it and send it on for her to get it translated and authenticated.

Nothing is easy in Spain. Hope this helps.

Thanks Linda, yes that does help. I’ve found our local office on line and will check it out tomorrow. As you say .. nothing is easy in Spain... have to start the process with our dog once we have the police report sorted. Where in Spain are you? We’re on the Costa Blanca near Benidorm.

Hi All, any of you who completed AoS could help me clarify this requirement: I intend to lodge AoS online. However I read this on centrelink website:

    How to submit your documents

To confirm your identity, you’ll need to give us your original identity documents. You can do this at either:

We must confirm your identity before you can make a claim.

Once we verify your photo identity, you can give us the other identity documents online

This means I will have to go to a centrelink office to verify my photo identity first, then continue next steps online, that I could not start verifying identity online. Or this is for other service required not for AoS? Is my understanding correct? Thank you.

My son and daughter in law both went into centrelink to have their identity verified first and then submitted the form. Hope this helps.

Woo hoo, I’ve also just been contacted to submit the other info.  At long last!! 70 days to submit, though assurer only has 28 days so I’ve forwarded that straight to my son so he can get on with it.

Signature amended accordingly so everyone can see my time line.

Now the fun starts, unless you were one of the sensible ones that completed their form 80 while waiting. So pleased for you.🍾

Hi I note that now I need to send papers for identity within 70 days for the 143 visa I need a HAP ID and a Health Examination Letter,  does anyone know how I get these? Neither were provided with the email as far as I can see, perhaps I'm being a bit dense. Also where and how do you enquire about such things officially?  I'm finding the process a bit opaque.Thank you.

Hi Catherine you should of got 2 emails one was for the AOS and the other one contains pdf attachments at the very bottom of the email for you to download... these are where you will find all the info you need. Did the emails go directly to your son or to you? Good luck. Shelagh
