We applied for a tourist visa too India and got it within a week.It was valid for 6 months.However the visa will be effective since the day of stamping in your Aus passport hence I recommend to get the visa 2 weeks before you fly.

I recently changed home and called DIBP to inform about my new address. In the process asked the lady about ceremony date.she was kind enough to tell it over phone. Try your luck.

I took test on 30th May and got approval letter on 7th June. Brisbane City Council. Ceremony scheduled for 16th Oct

The status changes only after you attend the ceremony.

Call the citizenship helpline and they shld tell your ceremony date if allocated.I got mine the same way.Expecting mail confirmation soon.

Yes they will be approved after you take test.

subclass 600 is the one for you! I got my parents on 600 visa for 12 months. If they intend to stay for more than 3 months they need to go through medicals and also maintain appropriate health cover while in Aus.

I applied on Sep 5th and got test invite email on Sep 11th to sit for test in Nov 3rd. Brisbane City Council.

If you are forced to leave prior to 2 years, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIBP) must be satisfied that you did make an effort to stay with them. If the business goes bust or there’s a shortage of work then DIBP may agree that you were unable to continue through no fault of your own. If this is genuinely the case then it is unlikely that your visa will be cancelled and hence your citizenship application should go through.

I think yes because you need to show the childs original passport during the citizenship interview.

I applied last week and was able to upload PDFs which the system split into jpegs. The only issue I faced was while uploading passport twice (Once for Present country of citizenship, Evidence and the same passport for First arrival in Australia, Evidence).Since the file name was same system couldn't handle it. So after the 1st upload had to change the filename in my computer to different one. Hope I didn't confuse you
