  1. Not sure if it is the Coronavirus issue. Because it still takes a good 4-5 months for the visa grant after the case officer makes contact and asks for further documentation .There is a substantial lead time before anyone can make an entry into AUS. I am hoping they pick up again. It was all going at such a good pace and now it's silent. The least they can do is get us started with our paperwork and keep us in queue. Not hearing from them just builds further anxiety for the applicants.
  2. It seems to have become quiet in here. Haven't seen much activity where people in March or April of 2016 have been asked for further documents. Is it possible that they have hit the quota for the year?
  3. @LBee, I believe that is the place where the applicants will be staying when they visit AUS the next time. For my in-laws, my mrs and I filled in our home address and left it at that.
  4. Has anyone who has been asked for further documents observed if the case officer asking for the documents is the same person who acknowledged the application??? OR is it another person all together? Will be interesting to see which case officers are actively processing applications. It was Pamela for my in-laws application.
  5. Thats great @Aaron88 Would also be good if you could update your timeline in the signature. Just helps get an idea of how we are all travelling with respect to our applications. Thanks !
  6. @LBee They have to create the CRN using the my gov account. They may have to visit the Centrelink office for a new set-up. That's what my Mrs and I did as well. This link should help. https://www.humanservices.gov.au/individuals/subjects/centrelink-customer-reference-number-crn#a3
  7. Although we haven't reached that stage as yet, but from the research that I did , it may be better to do the online application and then go to the Centrelink office as well to show them the docs.
  8. Hi, My mrs and myself will be providing the AOS for my in-laws. I wanted to ask if anyone had had the experience of doing so. I know that we have to fill 2 separate forms for AOS if we are submitting it in paper at the Centrelink office. However, when it's done online, do we have to fill in the AOS separately from each of our Centrelink accounts as well? Would appreciate anyone sharing their experiences. PS: We are still not there yet, but I am keeping all the stuff ready in anticipation.
  9. @ArafatG I guess that may be the case as the number of applications are high for some reason during the month of June in 2016 and 2017. We too have applied for in June 2016. Hoping a large number of those are 173 and not 143 applications
  10. Another year has gone by waiting and waiting. Are there any more Feb'16 onwards applicants who have heard from the department for further docs? Happy New Year to all on this forum.
  11. Hi Ramot. Thank you very much for that insight. Can you please share how recently was this. If possible would you be able to share the timeline for your parents case.
  12. Thanks Amber. I will try to call the department to ask them and confirm.
  13. Hi All, Can the medicals and police checks be done "On-Shore" for an application that was made off-shore? I was wondering if my parent's are here on a holiday when the case officer asks for this information, can they just do all of it from here in AUS rather than go back overseas. I understand that they will need to leave the country before the visa is approval.
  14. Hi, Arshad wanted to have a chat regarding the forms . Am from India based in Mel
