  1. @palaceboy1 @Samvaz99 Just to clarify , I trying to help answer the question related to the receipt from DIPB. Not so much the timeline. The case and example that I shared regarding my friend was prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. He got his visa at the end of Jan 2020.
  2. @Samvaz99 I was able to check with a friend of mine and he mentioned that they chose Bpay which is apparently the cheapest and quickest option. The receipt can be taken from netbank. Also, they got their visa the very next morning. Have you already been asked for the 2nd VAC payment?
  3. Hi @Samvaz99 I don't think they are asking anyone to pay the second VAC as they aren't finalising applications to issue visas. I belive this is mainly because the borders are still closed. No international travel is happening at the moment.
  4. No idea what this means. I hope it means that the processing will be as nornmal. Although, I doubt it. Mainly because people can't really fly in and out of most countries freeely as yet.
  5. @nitz That is the crazy part of the whole processing timeline. I belive it all depends on the case officer's and how they work on their cases. The one that they share in the email is a generic timeline. There are so many May'16 applicants whose applications have been processeed . At the same time some April and older ones still open . I don't know how the whole thing works. Perhaps some registered MARA agent can shed some light here. @Alan Collett Would you be able to share some insight please. Thanks !
  6. They are currently assessing 143 April'16 applications. I also seen in another forum that some March'16 applicants just got requested for further docs. Hopefully your case will be pulled up soon for processing.
  7. It would be fantastic if they were to consider parents who were already here and process the applications quicker without asking them to leave the country
  8. @sub7er Just sharing my personal experience when I had my mum get her PR. The PR was already granted before she left the country to travel to AUS. At this stage you are already a permanent resident. The 815 form needs to be filled and you will have to conduct some additional tests (In my moms case it was a chest xray to make sure that some spots she had weren't tuberculosis related). Once we did the test it was all good. I don't think they will cancell anyones visa after paying the amount. This is just an extra precautionary test as a follow-up on someting they may suspect as being a potential health condition. You will also see this in the form 815. Hope this helps.
  9. Here is what the new auto response says. They do say that processing is continuing. Finalisation is on hold for the moment. Hoping for the best ! IMPORTANT NOTE Processing of visa applications is continuing, however finalisation of many Parent Visa applications will be put on temporary hold. The situation will be reviewed in late May 2020, and further extension/s will be provided if necessary. As soon as we have advice that restrictions at our Border have been returned to more normal arrangements, the Department will update information on the web site.
  10. @MELBNGSM This is excellent news. Some signs that there is some work going on at DIBP. Congratulations on being a step closer!
  11. Thanks for this and the insight really helps. But do you know if they are even asking for further docs to keep the queue moving. Then keeping everything ready to a stage where the 2nd VAC is asked for only once the borders open?
  12. That's good. Looks like the folks in DIBP are still doing some processing.
  13. Yup. I am trying to find out if anyone else has had any correspondence from the department as well. As long as we all keep sharing and communicating on this forum it will help understand how DIPB is progressing.
  14. I hope this is only for those who have already done the payment of the second vac or perhaps the AOS has been finalised. Which would mean they are ready for visa grant. Praying that they still continue to process applications and take them to a stage where just the last part ie. 2nd VAC needs to be paid. It will save us all the anxiety and stress of seeing nothing at all happen in the next few months. This way it will at least keep things moving. Even if it's slow it doesn't matter.
  15. Well let's hope and pray that that's not the case for every parent's sake who have been waiting so long.
  16. Hi All, A mate of mine who applied in the first week of June'16 got asked for further documents. There is hope still... Any June applicants in the forum who have got asked for further docs?? Please share. Stay safe!
  17. Congratulations ! and I also see that you have submitted everything so quickly Excellent !
  18. @LucyLExcellent! thanks for sharing. And congratulations !!
  19. Hi All, Hope all are safe in the midst of the COVID chaos. Are there any more May'16 or perhaps any June'16 who have been asked for further docs? The last one I saw outside this forum was for 19th May'16. Please do share. Thanks !
  20. I have come across only one application so far that is a May 2016 application where further docs have been asked. Hopefully May applicants will be picked up soon.
  21. Looks like it will start moving again. I know of a May 2016 applicant who was asked for further docs as well. Fingers crossed
  22. Just as an example , I knew of a guy who had one parent and his brother as a dependant. I believe his brother was over 20 years of age but definitely a student and dependant on his father. His application took longer than the others who had applied with him. It was longer by a good 2 months or so. Perhaps the assessment is more in depth or something on those lines. Not sure what the matter is in your case.
