  2. Toowoomba is definitely cooler than Gold coast and much less humid. Some nights on the gold coast is just unbearable without aircon', but at night in Toowoomba is usually cool because the elevation of Toowoomba is like 600-700m. Personally, I like the gold coast more because it's near the ocean. haha and it's a bigger and newer city than Toowoomba. I feel like there's nothing to do in here... I don't know why. Also, people on the coast tend to be more easy-going and kinder. I have an impression that Toowoomba people don't like immigrants. I am early 20's and I don't like Toowoomba... haha.. Toowoomba is more likely a city for who retired for me (and actually it is lol I put the article's link just down below). it could be the answer of the last question from me! http://www.theaustralian.com.au/life/home-design/baby-boomers-top-10-retirement-destinations/story-fn6njxlr-1226417045023 Hope you find a good place to stay. Good luck!
  3. I am currently living in Toowoomba moved from Gold Coast. I do prefer living on the gold coast, but I guess Toowoomba is not so bad. Actually, the weather is much batter than the gold coast. Also, one of my co-worker who is used to live in Brisbane and has 2 kids likes living in Toowoomba due to its children's education aspect. But I know someone who has left Toowoomba, because she couldn't find a decent job. For me, I would live in a northern part of the gold coast and travel to work in Logan since it's quite close. Hope it helps!
  4. Broadbeach will be nice for you. There's many apartments, houses and a big shopping centre 'Pacific fair'. it will suit you and your fiance's lifestyle. Whereas Southport is kind of old part of Gold coast, it has many shops and houses but I guess, not the best suburb on the Gold coast. Lucky you! I am currently living in Toowoomba where there's nothing.. I used to live on the gold coast and I and my partner miss it a lot. Hope you enjoy ur stay on the coast!
