  1. Great to see so much movement here for 187s! A huge congrats to all who have received PR!
  2. True--it's very hard to see a trend. But yours must be next, surely!
  3. There are many more 186 members, so the thread is more active and we see more grants. Have faith: things are happening for us 187s too!
  4. Don't worry; I believe Immi posted this earlier update in error. It seems from this week's PR grants on this forum that they are actually processing mid-August applications now. Not as good as we'd like it, but better than mid-July, anyway.
  5. I would say that it's a good idea to tick all the correct boxes to provide the most accurate information, including the fact that you have applied before. Providing incorrect information would give immigration cause to decline your application again. But also have the police clearance in hand in case you are flagged.
  6. It is normal, to some extent. Generally, you or your MA will only know whether your application has been allocated when the CO either requests further documents or makes a decision on your application.
  7. From IMMI website, https://www.border.gov.au/Lega/Lega/8#d [h=2]Definition – low/high risk[/h]The terms 'Low risk' and 'High risk' show whether passport holders are eligible to apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). Low risk applies to nationals from countries which issue ETA eligible passports. A list of these can be found on the department's website. High risk countries are those which are not ETA eligible. See: ETA Eligible Passports
  8. Got this yesterday, but seems like an error, reverting to a previous update on 27 Jan.: **This is an automated response regarding ENS 186/RSMS 187 applications. Please do not respond to this email** Email Updated on 27 January 2016 IMPORTANT INFORMATION We are currently allocating ENS and RSMS applications that were lodged mid July 2015.
  9. I think there's been some confusion between Form 80, which has been around for some time, and the new declaration that requires you to state whether you've paid an employee to receive nomination. This declaration has been required for all 186 and 187 applicants since 14 December 2015.
  10. I'm sorry, but I don't follow: you've been waiting for 5.5 months, and this shows that the processing time is 8 months...? No doubt some outlying cases do go to 8 months, but it seems to be the experience of most people here that 6 months, maybe a little more, is the norm. It doesn't harm, I suppose, to be prepared for an 8-month wait, but hang in there, and hope for the best!
  11. Yes; I believe that some MAs and Immigration officials under-promise to avoid applicants getting on their case at the 6-month mark. But the majority of "decision-ready" grants are at around 6 months if you follow posts here and look at the spreadsheet on the 186 thread, which has a similar turnaround to the 187 visas.
  12. Frankly speaking, and looking at the processing times that have been recorded on the spreadsheet, I don't think the HR/LR designation makes a difference to processing times on 186 or 187 visas. On the immi website, the standard is 6 months for either. Also, looking at the same evidence, I don't think the Direct Entry/ Transition Stream makes much of a difference either. Processing speeds depend more, it seems, on the luck of the draw in being allocated a faster processing team or one with with a lesser case load. Hang in there, and let's hope for a productive week from Monday!
  13. At current processing speeds you could expect to wait about 6 months, although some have been lucky enough to get it in 5 or so.
  14. As others have said, there is no minimum work experience required for Direct Entry 187. To apply for the visa, however, some trade occupations require formal skills assessment first, and work experience might be part of this assessment.
  15. Thanks for your good wishes! I am very relieved, although I must admit to being slightly disappointed that they didn't process my visa at the same time, as they have with some others who have had a gap in the date between nomination and visa applications. Anyway, I hope I get the visa soon, and don't have to wait until end of September processing. Hope all of you who are still waiting for contact get to hear soon, too!
  16. Just received (delayed) notification from my employer that my nomination was approved on 29 January! Still waiting for visa approval...
  17. Automatic email update, 10 February: "We are currently allocating ENS and RSMS applications that were lodged early August 2015." Keep the faith, all!
  18. Great news! Congratulations, and may your visa follow very soon!
  19. I feel for you. I hope you hear soon. I also hope my own wait is not long enough to become a "senior member" of this forum! ;-)
  20. Don't be discouraged by seeing more grants on other visas, like the 186. The number of 187 applicants is proportionally lower (we have about one-third of the number of 186 applicants, if this forum is representative), so you won't see grants happening here in the same numbers as the 186 thread. Hang in there; good things will happen soon!
  21. We have a similar timeline (at least as far as my nomination is concerned). Let's hope they move on to early August pretty soon!
  22. Same time as me? We'll wait it out together. When was your nomination lodged?
  23. Happy Australia Day! All is quiet. Let's hope that this is the calm before the visa grant storm starts tomorrow.
