Yes you need your partners consent to include kids. It is a basic consent letter. You can write the details of the kids and say “i give consent to my partner to include my kids to my partner’s citizenship application” - Simple

just include your partner’s details as well on statutory declarations at Justice of peace.

    Much obliged, KazBaker!

  2. Just a quick question in response to a post that I read here some time back (I haven't been able to relocate that post since). In cases where children under 16 are included in one parent's citizenship application, but the other parent is not applying (a choice because that parent's country of origin does not allow for dual citizenship), is the non-applying parent required to provide a letter of consent? And if so, does anyone have a handy template?

    Cheers

  3. hi I have tried to add my timeline but some how I couldn't

    please add my timeline

    rcb approved 2/11/15

    nomination and visa applied 12/11/15

    occupation hairdresser

    state SA

    low risk country

    thanks

@Shraddha: I'll gladly add your timeline, but could you also let me know how many applicants and what stream (direct/ transition etc.)? Thanks.

  4. Just a request: if you are a 187 applicant and haven't already added your timeline to the spreadsheet, please consider doing so (even if you're not a PIO member). The more profiles we have, the better we'll all be able to get an idea of the bigger picture of who's getting grants and when.

Adding is easy of you are on a desktop/laptop or tablet: simply click on the link for the spreadsheet in my signature below, go to the relevant month tab (at the bottom) for your application, and add your details according to the column headings.

Please add your own details if you can. If you have tried and are having difficulties, then give your details on this thread. In that case, include details of stream (direct/ transition/ agreement), low-risk or high risk country, no. of applicants, nominated occupation, date of application for both nomination and visa, and any contact that you've had from DIBP.

Thank you for your help. All the best if, like me, you're still waiting for your grant.

  5. Good morning friends

hope we hear new grants today as waiting is really stressful

i am also November applicant still my status is not been changed

    from application received.

please let me know when shoul I expect to be

The spreadsheet will give you an idea of where grants are now, as well as an indication of how long people are waiting on average. Click on the link in my signature.

  6. This morning i got this mail from Dibp via my MA.

    Thank you for your email.

The application is being actively assesse and actioned. Should there be any information that the Case Officer required, they will contact you in the first instance.

Please note that we also are keen to finalise the application as well. However at this moment we appreciate your patience and cooperation.

But still there is no update on my immi account. It has been 267days since i have lodged my app. If it says application received , it means there is no change right?

"Application received" means that they do not require any further information from you at this time. If they do, your status will change to "Information requested," and once you have submitted what they require, "Assessment in progress." Hopefully, though, your status will change from "Application received" to "Finalised" without any further delays to that which you've already endured.

  7. Tomorrow will be the best day for 187 applicants.... Be ready guys..

I hope you're right. I think it's likely, though, that they'll take a day or two to recover from the long weekend--and then Thursday and Friday will be productive days.

Good luck, all, and keep the faith!

  8. Applicants for Employer Nominaton Scheme (ENS) visas (subclass 186/187 RSMS) are at risk of becoming illegal and losing their right to remain in Australia. The risk can be managed if the sponsoring employer’s nomination is refused.

Schedule 2 criteria for application of ENS subclass 186 and 187 requires that the nomination be approved and is effective six months from the date of approval.

It is customary, however that applications for the sponsored applicant are lodged at the same time as the nomination. In this case, the application for ENS 186 or 187 will be refused because the underlying nomination was not approved.:shocked::sad::realmad::eek::ssign10::ssign1:

Yes, the visa grant is dependent on the underlying nomination being approved. Nothing new in this.

  9. Thanks Bungo.

I don't anticipate it to be an easy task. I won't be seeking an employer offshore, and am more than happy to move to a remote area. I'm reasonably confident I'll be able to make it happen.

I first need to meet the education requirements, which go's back to my first question

    Thanks,

    Matt

Going back your first question: as I understand it, you need either a relevant qualification OR at least years' relevant experience in your nominated occupation.

  10. I am curious as to why you think your occupation would not require a skills assessment for a RSMS direct entry visa, it is very rare for an occupation to be exempt. Sometimes an individual might be exempt if they have a high salary however.

There is a RSMS occupation list, to get a RSMS visa, you would need to be working in an occupation on this list, are you? I am again not clear what you are saying, it would be helpful if you could just say what occupation you are thinking of.

It is all a bit moot without a sponsor lined up, have you had a good response from employers so far?

Indeed, most occupations for Direct Entry RSMS do not require skills assessment--you need only qualifications and experience that match the ANZSCO descriptions. It is only generally trade occupations that do require a positive skills assessment from the relevant body (Schedule 3 occupations on ANZSCO), and these are the occupations listed on relevant legislative instrument.

Here is a link to the relevant legislative instrument, listing the occupations that require skills assessment.

But I agree that it is moot of you do not have a sponsoring employer lined up.

  11. My MA sent this email today.

I am following up from the below email you sent on 08 March. As it has been nearly one and a half months since your last email but we haven’t heard anything from the case officer yet, would you please be able to advise if there is anything we can do to facilitate the process?

worrying it seems sounding bit offending. Is it...?

I wonder what responce I will get from DIBP.

The tone seems firm but polite. I don't think it's at all inappropriate, given how long you've been waiting. You deserve the courtesy of an explanation from DIBP. I hope you hear something positive soon.
