  1. 6 mos this week and up to date still no CO. Really frustrating as started with this since July 2015. But nothing to do except to wait for unknown surprise :-(

    Nom: approved 22/10

    Visa : 23/10

    Stats: Waiting

Hang in there. I'm approaching the 7-month mark soon with no sign of CO. Nothing we can do other than avoid negative energy and live our lives for now.

  2. Hello guys i am new in the forum. But following it from quite long. I wanted to add myself in spread sheet. Didnt work out. Pleaze if any chance somebody get time. Do so. Thanks.

Visa a d nomi applied on 27th oct 2015 application received last email. Low risk.

Hi @Nishant Pasrija. How many people in your application? Direct entry or transition? What is your nominated occupation?

  3. I am sure that processing time depends on your occupation. They might have priority list and cook must be least priority. All the cook application is pending now and i am waiting 260 days

I read once that they do process applications by occupation, because certain COs develop expertise in evaluating certain jobs. There is no priority, however: it's just that some jobs have more applicants than others. I saw a document that listed "cook" as the most popular occupation for skilled migration to Australia. That is possibly why you seem to be waiting longer than applicants in other professions/ trades..

    Keep the faith, all.

  4. Thanks God for the blessing.. And thank you friends here in forum.. Another visa approved today and finally its mine also.. Praying and hoping all visa lodged will be granted sooner the better... Goodluck to everyone and see you all here in aussie.. 5. I've been following this forum for almost 3 years. And yesterday I just got my PR granted.

    Occupation: Cafe Manager

    RCB lodge: Sept 19,2015

Rcb approved: 2 hours after lodgement.

    Nom and visa: Sept 29,2015

    Granted both: April 14,2016

    No further requirements asked.

Thank you Zoya Khan for keeping us motivated and inspired. I hope everyone gets what they grants soon ... O:D

Congratulations, and all the best! We have a similar timeline--I hope to hear soon too.

  6. Thanks again.

So how long will be taken to apply Bridging visa B?

Like if I would like to travel on 10th May 2016, when I should get started to apply Bridging visa B (I am in Bridging visa A now)?

Processing time for BVA to BVB?

    Regards

According to DIBP, the processing time for BVB is now about 2 weeks.

  7. Thank you JonOgre!

    Hi guys,

I am in bridging visa A currently ( I am in Australia now/onshore), I would like to ask if I apply bridging visa B and travel oversea next month for few months, Will I granted my PR in oversea? or CO may leave my file until I come to Australia.

Because some visas only granted while you are in Australia (onshore)?

    Regards

    Tom

    Nomination date: 12nd May 2015

Visa application date: 10th December 2015

No worries; PR will be processed whether you are on- or off-shore. Make sure you are contactable by email in case CO needs clarification and/or docs.

  8. Hi, everyone

I am just knew this forum.

    My current status is:

RCB approved date: 12nd May, 2015

    Nomination date: 23rd September, 2015

Visa application date: 10th December 2015

Is everyone know how to update my status to the spreadsheet (google)?

and how long I still need to be wait for?

    Thank you!

    Regards

Hi @ostrich and welcome. You can click on the link in my signature to go to the spreadsheet, find the correct month tab, and fill in the details as per the column headers. If you have any difficulty with this, please provide some additional info on this thread: Direct Entry/ Transition Stream; High-risk/ Low-risk country; nominated occupation; number of people in your application.

The current waiting time for approval is 6 - 8 months.

  9. They don't do everything for you. They make sure you have filled everything, and your employer has filled everything in correctly. You still have to do most of the work.

In my case it was worth paying as my employer didn't understand just how much detail and what details were needed.

Quite right. There was a time where applicants could benefit from prioritised "decision-ready" applications through MAs. Since 2012, however, this is no longer the case, and all applications, whether or not through MAs, join the queue in order of submission.

If your employer knows what they're doing, and if you can carefully follow the directions and lists published by DIBP for applicants, you can easily do without an agent. As I have a large employer (a university) that regularly employs people from overseas, I personally saw no need to use an agent. But I could still be proven wrong...

  10. Hi everyone, I'm at the stage now where we can apply for PR after being on a 457 for the last 2 years.

We are located in Toowoomba QLD and would therefore qualify as having regional status. My question is that my head office is based is Brisbane, so could this cause a promblem? It does specifically say in my contract that I work and must live in Toowoomba.

My employer has agreed to sponsor us, so your thoughts on our options would be greatly appreciated. TIA

As I understand it, the visa applies to the location of the nominated position, rather than to where the employer is headquartered. You should be fine if your contract states specifically that you will be working exclusively in Toowoomba. The local RCB should be able to advise your employer, though.

  11. Hi, please add me in spreadsheet

@akumar: Added. Please click the link in my signature below to check your details on the April tab. Please fee free to make any corrections/ updates yourself.

  12. Hi everyone, sorry if these are stupid questions but are the processing times the same for direct entry as for the transition from a 457 stream? I'm not sure when our nomination was granted but we lodged our application 17th Feb after the nom. was granted (Deisel Mechanic Perth LR country (under the transition stream) without a Migration advisor). Wondering if we need to expect to wait around 6 months + as some are having to. Not heard from immi at all except an email asking my partner to fill in the form which declares not offering a bribe for sponsorship a couple of weeks ago (I thought they only needed it from the primary applicant - obviously got that wrong). Also, anyone have any idea if things process more slowly when you don't go through a migration advisor? Status just shows application received. Thank you.

Direct Entry or Transition Stream, agent or no agent, there is no published or apparent difference between processing speeds. Being from a low risk country, you may have a slight edge, but there is no consistent patten to this if you look at previous grants. At the moment, 187 visas are being processed in about 7 months on average, regardless of stream etc., although there are some outliers either way.

  13. How can i add myself on spreadsheet ...... Help anyone please .....

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@Mann dharna: preferably, you can click on the link in my signature below to access the spreadsheet yourself. From here, find the correct month tab (at the bottom) for your visa application, and enter the details. This might all best be done from a desktop/ laptop computer, if you have access to one, because it's awkward on an iPhone.

If you have problems doing this yourself, please post the following details to this thread: number of people in your application; high-risk or low-risk country; nominated occupation; stream (direct entry/ transition); date of application for nomination (and approval, if applicable); date of application for visa.

  14. Hi guys! Been following this forum for a while now. Please add me to the list.

    Nom: 3/2/16

    Visa: 4/2/16

    Occupation: Store manager

    Processing: NSW

Welcome @pat26. Please also provide details of stream (direct entry/ transition), country (HR/ LR) and number of people in your application. Alternatively, you can click on the link to the spreadsheet and add your details yourself. Thanks.

  15. It is derect stream... It has been for242 days ... Is it normal to take this long...?

Applications usually take 6 - 8 months to process. As you are at the 8-month mark, and assuming you haven't heard from them at all, I think you'd be well within your rights to contact DIBP, or to get your agent to do so.

  16. Hi, would like to upload my timeline, could someone help me to add into the files? Thanks

    11/11/2015 Applied RCB
