    Hi, thanks for your reply. That does make sense. I have however spoken to a couple of people who have been successful in finding employment before arriving but with a view of starting a few weeks after they land. I’m thinking of approaching agencies first just get my foot in the door. With regards to furniture etc that’s getting shipped and we’re planning of air bnb’ing for a a little while whilst the furniture arrives. I don’t intend to work as soon as i touch down but perhaps 2-3 weeks in

    Hi, We have had our visa approved and will be travelling in August. My partner and I are going to try and find employment before leave the UK, hopefully have skype interviews or at least some face to face interviews lined up for when we arrive. I was wondering wondering how people have got on with finding employment before they arrive in Oz. Also, as a little heads up is there Anything we could be doing now before we leave in terms of getting set for life over there? I was going to open up a bank account soon and look at applying for a blue card etc. Thanks

    Hopefully it comes through for you by then, I’m sure it will if you have submitted everything. Even if you have to go on the working Holiday visa I’m sure it will come through pretty soon after April. Have you got a job offer over there?

    I haven’t actually, mainly because whenever I have gone on it it looks to be quite old and outdated ?? Unless I am checking the wrong one. Have you looked on there? I spoke with my agent last week and she said the current processing times are saying 5-8 months apparently from the day you lodge. She said whenever the CO has asked for additional info that time period is not included in that 5-8 timeframe [emoji15] I’m hoping to hear something Feb ????

    Pretty similar tbf, medicals and police checks all sent sept, then had a request for additional info such as form 80 and de facto stuff November time. I just hope I have them everything they needed

    Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had received their grant or any further along with in their process? I was requested more info and a form 80 which was all sent back but now I’m waiting (again)

    I'm sure i read it can take anywhere from 7-12 months, although i have read on here people have been successful within 4 months. According to the website they are working on 189 applications received on or before 27th August and 190 Applications 3rd September 2017. The wait is frustrating but it will all pay off I'm sure

    Oh really? Inns we knew that. Is it me or was October quiet for the number of visas granted?

    Ahhh yes, I can understand your frustrations. I'm sure you've said before but how long have you been waiting again? Did you go through an agent or do it all yourself? My friend who now lives over there went through an agent but she said it was taking ages for them to hear back and so she sent a message to the office and the next day it was granted. She said it was like it was just sitting there waiting to be updated or something. This was some time ago but I wonder if that is something you can do. Unfortunately my agent has told me I don't have access to the immi account my application has been lodged through so I'm not sure if there is the facility to send a message or email and ask if there was anything else you needed to submit. Hopefully they reply or at least look at the application perhaps.

    Hi, so just to check I have read this correctly. Presently they are processing applications received before the 27th Aug 2017 for 189 visas and this order is done based on priority set by migration programme planning? The 190 visas are currently up to 3rd sept ?

    I'm having a little problem... does anyone have an email to contact the Brisbane office? I have had my medicals done and received the police certificates, I've emailed them to my agent but she has not got back to me and I don't have access to the immi account. I probably have time left (out of the 28days) but I wanted to make sure and contact the Brisbane office to advise of this but the email I am sending just stays in my draft box and won't actually go to the email address.
