  1. Hi, You can't submit your EOI without your Skills assessment. It will take the 10 weeks to hear back from AITSL and you will need your certificate with AITSL number for the EOI. Hope this helps
  2. Could I also ask about Question 22 and 35. Question 22 asks why you are travelling to Oz...we have applied for a 189 so what should I answer? Also 35 asks if we have travelled to Oz before...we have as a holiday which I already stated in the application but this asks about visas which we obviously didn't have for a short holiday. Do I just answer no? Thanks in advance
  3. Thank you both. Yes I have a TRN number. I will try both options and hopefully have some joy. Your help is much appreciated!
  4. How do you get hold of the Form 80 if you don't have an agent?
  5. Hi there, We submitted our visa yesterday but when I log into my Immi account it isn't appearing in 'My applications summary' which is obviously an issue when I need to upload documents. Anybody else experiencing this??
  6. Thank you both. Am I right in saying these are the current documents for a 189... https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/189-/Skilled-Independent-visa-(subclass-189)-document-checklist Is passport photos in addition to passports? Many thanks!
  7. Thanks Nemesis. I presume that is after you submit the application?
  8. Hi there. For those who have submitted the visa application on there own could you please advise. I filled it in today saving as I went along but now it has disappeared from my immi account?? Also where do you upload your documents and how do I get hold of this Form 80? Thanks
  9. I've just spent over an hour on our visa application, saving each page as I went along. I didn't wish to submit at this stage as I have yet to get my documents sorted but when I went back into my account the saved application is not there! Any advice please? Also at what point or where do you load documents?? Thanks in advance
  10. Could anyone advise please...I had originally planned to front load our police and medical checks between our EOI and invite however to our surprise the invite only took a week. Police check is in the post but will be 10-20 working days and was just about to do My Health Declaration when we got the invite. I have read that front loading can speed up the process as we are on a tight timescale. So do I go ahead with the application without the medicals or get them done first and then apply? Or will it make any difference? Thanks in advance:)
  11. My police check is going to be 10-20 working days in post. Could I just go ahead with application without it? We never expected to get an invite so quickly!
  12. Could I go ahead with application now rather than wait for the police check if it's going to be a few weeks in the post?
  13. Thanks for this Captain C. Do I still submit the police check? Typically I got an email yesterday to say my certificate will be 10-20 working days. I presume this has to be uploaded with the application? You mentioned visa applications with police and medicals were going through relatively quickly but now with such a quick invite and unable to front load, have you any idea of how long a potential grant may take?
  14. Hi Captain C! I was wondering if you could offer some advice.... I had planned to front load police and medical checks between my EOI and a hopeful invite. Got police checks sorted but when I went to do the health declaration I realised I needed passports for my three children which are now in the post. Anyhow to our surprise after only submitting the EOI last Tuesday we have received an invite today! So now not sure if I should go ahead with the visa application or get the medicals done first? We are on a bit of a tight timescale! Any advice would be gratefully appreciated:)
  15. Hi. I'm also in the same predicament! Planned to front load police and medical checks between EOI and hopeful invite. Got police checks sorted but when I went to do the health declaration I realised I needed passports for my three children which are now in the post. Anyhow to our surprise after only submitting the EOI last Tuesday we have received an invite today! So now not sure if I should go ahead with visa application or get the medicals done first. How long has it taken you so far since you submitted your health declaration?
  16. Hi there, Can anybody offer advice on how to front load police and medical checks? Thanks in advance
  17. Hi there, Looking for some advice on how to front load my police and medical checks and how I actually go about doing them? Also can you front load both once you have submitted your EOI? We aren't using an agent for our application (189 visa). Thanks in advance
  18. Hi there, We are in the early stages of a visa application and I was wondering if my brother in law and fiancé who have just received their citizenship will help with our application. We are applying for a 189 and have the 60 points but could this boost our chances? Thanks
  19. Thank you both for your help with this Will go with the visa debit!
  20. Thank you for your reply. I'm not quite sure what a pre paid credit card is! Can I use a family member's credit card or does it have to be in my name?
  21. Can anybody advise on payment for AITSL application...two options are Australia post money order or credit card. We don't have credit cards and the post money only seems to be available at Australian post offices. Can you pay by visa debit??
  22. Realised that I've made a mistake with the age..should be 25 points!
  23. Am I missing something with the points for the visa application as I don't seem to be hitting the 60 points. I realise I can do the IELTS test for a further 10 points which will get me to 60 but just wanted to check I haven't missed anything... Age 33-39 = 15 pointsBachelor Degree = 15 points 9 years overseas experience = 15 points Partner age/skills = 5
  24. There's been a lot of discussion about how bad the job situation is in Perth and I'm starting to wonder if this move is more high risk than we anticipated! I by no means mind doing relief and short term contract work to get my foot in the door but am I being unrealistic about securing a permanent post. We have three young children to go into childcare/kindy which is a massive expense so I must secure work asap but are we crazy even considering it if things are that bad. Last thing we want is to spend a lot of money just to get over and then not be able to afford to stay!
