We applied on 9/9/15 got a co 21/10/15, our agent said it can take up to 3 months so I wouldn't worry yet

Hi djes, when my partner 1st took his ielts test he failed by 1/2 mark, we appealed this cost us £70 and took 2 months and the remark was the same !! He took the pte and failed too but it was much quicker to take the test again than to wait for a remark, hope this helps

That's fantastic news, we got a case officer today asking for photos to show that we are a couple as we are not married, so hopefully it won't be too long for us either, they seem to be getting through them pretty quick at the moment x

We lodged ours on the 9.9.15, medicals done 23.09.15 we are thinking hopefully December time for our visa.

Hi shelly yes you can go on holiday but the only problem with this is if you apply for your tourist visa say on a Monday and you receive this on Friday, but in the meantime you receive your permanent visa on the Thursday your tourist visa would then cancel out your permanent visa, hope this helps, but I would assume if you have applied already you should have your permanent visa by January

No they didn't but I believe the visa people don't like people chasing up their application I know it's hard but we have to wait x

We. Used an agent so they did everything for us, but as far as I know you upload everything once you have received your invite, hope this helps

Hi my partner took both tests as well, ielts 3 times and pte twice, he found the pte test more modern but as it was summer all the windows were open and you could her everything going on outside and you could also hear everything the person next to you said which was very off putting, but that was down to the examination centre not the test, he finally passed both tests but the ielts test seems more recognisable, as we were not told of the pte test until he had taken the ielts test twice, also with the ielts test you can score 9 on the reading and the next time you take it you can get 6.5 and vicea versa but al least with the pte test you get your results within 2-3 days , good luck with anyone taking the tests

My agent also said it would take between 2-4 months to receive our visa

Thank you that's what we thought, we were going to take a two month holiday before we started to look for work anyway, so may just go out on holiday and see if our visa arrives thanks again x

More information needed can anyone tell me if we can go out to Australia on a holiday visa whilst waiting for our 189 visa grant to come through or do we have to be in the UK, thanks in advance.

More than likely, we have sent our EOI 16th July and just been told the next invitations for the 189 is 7th sept x

Hi alanlisa because we have gone for the 189 visa we won't be told until the 7th September if we have be given our grant, so just another 2 weeks of waiting xx

Same here we logded ours on the 16th July too with our agent, been told waiting time is usually 6-8 weeks so hopefully we get September, they used to do two sessions a month but now down to one, good luck x

Teejams, that's what confusing me, some people say you can have your medicals before you get your visa grant and others say you can't ??????????
