I received an email from IMMI today requesting more documents (Police Checks), even though I submitted those with the application. Will get new ones and resubmit them again!!

 

My timeline so far :

- Nomination lodged : 13 Jan 2015

- Application lodged : 23 Feb 2015

- Nomination additional docs requested : 07 May 2015

- Application additional docs requested : 20 May 2015

- Nomination approved : ...waiting

- Visa granted : ...waiting

When is the expiration of the original police checks you submitted?

We have just lodged everything we needed to do on the 8th May, so just need to wait. Been here nearly 4 years on 457. Hope it is a quick one.

We have the same timeline. Lodge my visa app on 7 May after my nomination was approved. also lodge through 457 transition stream. Did you provide Ielts or did you just submit school letters for claiming exemption from English requirement

We haven't uploaded anything. We just let the MA upload the docs our parents did. Just my question is I accessed into the file and seeing if that is OK to do?

Why would we enter the wrong birthdate? That is illegal. He is legit 13

I just meant it might be a typographical error during typing (not intentional)...This is just one area I think might be the reason why your brother is being asked for character clearance and english language evidence. MA's are also humans (not perfect like all humans). I had to review the data I typed on my application form 10 times before I lodged making sure there were no typographical errors, and I had to revise it 3 times before I finally pressed the lodged button.

Our family waited for 4 years in total (Tribunals and etc) to get rejected...

 

My issue is that why would they want to see a 13 year old's (my brother) character record and english evidence? We submitted everything via MA

Your MA should have clarified this with the CO when they received the request and pointed put that your brother is only 13 years old. Could there be a mistake in your online application form? Maybe your brother's birthyear was entered incorrectly in such a way it would come out that he is 16 years or older instead of 13?

Regarding on the IMMIAccount, if you look on your file, can individual applicants look on your application file? Because I think I made a mistake of accessing the file (which there is an option) and despite our parents and MA uploading all documents separately, (did not have an account at that time) it displays as it is needed

 

What does "Recommended" mean anyway? (That is what it is displayed as) I am really concerned

What do you mean "parents and MA uploading all documents separately". Do you mean your Ma uploaded documents in their immiaccount, and then you parents imported your file in your parents' immiaccount and uploaded documents again? If you have an MA, I suggest you do not do anything in your personal immiaccount other than just monitoring it. You should communicate with your MA your concerns as that is why you paid for your MA.

I lodged my visa application without MA last 7 May 2015. This is what happened when I lodged.

1. Filled up the online application form...pressed the submit button.

2. Asked me to enter credit card details for payment...

3. After payment was done, took me to the page where To upload documents

On this page there was a list of documents and beside it says "recommended". There were documents in the list that were not applicable to my situation like skills and age exemption documents, child custody documents...so I did not provide those even though it says "recommended".

4. As soon as I uploaded the documents, the status "recommended" changed to "received". And you. Can see on another box below the exact file name of the file you uploaded.

I hope this helps you understand what goes on during lodging the application as your MA lodged yours. If it says recommended on yours and you do not see the exact file name you or your MA gave that particular file, then maybe it was not uploaded. Check with your MA if they uploaded it.

Hi sonu, I think siby6676 was asking about your English documents as primary applicant, not for the dependent. Did you as the primary applicant submit Ielts or did you claim exemption and submitted school letters? As far as I know, second installment only applies to dependents.

Hi I've been just granted pr it states visa conditions nill but also says I have to wait with my employer for two years.. Just wondering is there anyone out there that just quiet there job and didn't lose there visa any info is greatly appreciated

It is up to the discretion of Immigration depending on how long you have stayed with the employer after your PR was granted and what is the reason you are leaving. You have to satisfy Immigration that your intention to stay with employer for two years during the time you applied for the visa was genuine. If you have been with employer for more than a year since PR was granted and if like for example employer has breached conditions on your contract, then Immigration might be in your favor but if you leave just a few months after you get your PR and your reason is that you just want to find another job, then I think Immigration will cancel your visa. It is really up to immigration and your particular circumstance.

I think so too... Applied 18th Dec ... Additional info requested 28th April... submitted already now in the next 2-4 weeks will be in the 28 days zone... Hope it works out. This wait is very stressful indeed.

i got nomination approved in sep 2014 they requested additional doc in oct 2014

still waiting for visa i hv already sent them three reminders . everytime they give same answer that we wl contact you if any further information required . can anybody tell me what to do now .should i cl them or just send one more reminder like before

To those who are currently on 457 visa. I am enrolling for medicare since I have already lodged the 187. i want to know if I can already cancel my BUPA insurance after I enrol in medicare but before getting co allocation and before visa grant?

Did you claim exemption for English language for yourself? What documents did you submit to support English language exemption

why do we need to submit birth certy ?

because i haven't and CO did not ask me for that only AFP been asked.

CO may or may not ask for birth certificate. birth cert is listed in the DIBP 187 document checklist so it is up to CO if he asks for it or not. I included all our birth certs just to make sure I don't miss any docs that might be asked.

What do you mean 1 May approved and aplly on 7 which year ?

My nomination was lodged 2 Feb 2015 and nomination was approved 1 May 2015.

Visa application was lodged on 7 May 2015.

lodged my visa application 7 May. Nomination was approved on 1 May 2015. The waiting game begins again.

Hi everyone. I am no longer playing the waiting game, visa granted yesterday. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting, I feel your pain but it is worth the wait. Thanks to everyone for posting timelines. I found this so helpful and when I saw January applications were being approved and I was December application and still no case officer assigned I called and emailed immigration. The email reply I got on Thursday told me a case officer would be assigned next week. I then got an email the next day with the visa grant notice, shock and relief.

 

186 Temporary Residence Transition Scheme timeline below - I think application was processed in Victoria and I am based in Queensland

Can you share the list of documents that you submitted for your visa. I just want to make sure I submitted all the required documents so they will not have to request for missing documents. Did you have to submit police clearance for countries you have lived prior to 2004 or just from 2004 to present (last 10 years)?

If you are applying through the 187 direct entry stream. Then, yes these info are needed. Your employer needs to satisfy CO that there is a need for a paid employee for your position (meaning there is a genuine need to hire someone for that position), they have to show evidence that the position they have offered you has been advertised in job ads for several weeks. I am just wondering why your MA has not submitted these documents when they lodged your nomination as these are in the checklist in DIBP website.

Well I have finally had confirmation today from DIBP that we don't need the Japanese police checks after all as we have not lived there in the past ten years. I had asked for this to be confirmed by my CO when I first received contact but four people later I got the news I was expecting!

 

It is frustrating that when calling you don't get through directly to someone who can answer these queries quickly and that you have to wait. The great thing is that the Japanese do not charge for these checks and we are only going to be out of pocket for the postage.

Immi is working in teams now so it is possible that a different CO will look at you file again. Based on the email you got that your documents has been sent to allocating team so hoping you'll get a decision from immi soon.

i applied pr through 186 ens trt stream on 16/12/2014. on 01/05/2015 case officer send me more document check list such as form 80, marriage certifate, birth details etc.

i send all document on 05/05/2015. next day igot email from immi mention that my document send to visa allocated team. that mail send me one decision support officer. that means my case officer change? how long they will take for finalise my file?

did you not send form 80, marriage cert and birth cert when you lodged your visa? Because these documents were on the immi website checklist.

what happened to your english exemption evidence. Did they accept the schoolonletters that you re-loaded? If they don't need any other documents from you, I think you are gonna get decision from immi soon

just received a phone call saying my PR granted. o yes! finally is over.

letter wording is correct. i re loaded again letter and also send educational certificates. i appled self. do you submitt any thing other than letter for excemption claim?

I haven't lodged yet, hoping to lodge tomorrow. I plan to submit only school letters. The same school letters I submitted during my 457 visa application so I hope it is also sufficient for the PR application.

i applied pr through ens temperary tranistion stream. I submitted 5 year secondary and higher degree letter from institution. Is that equilant to ielts? Please help me. My salary package $ 55000 per year.but case officer ask me evidence of english laungage exemption claim? What is that?

I am also applying for transition stream and claiming exemption as I do not have IELTS. So I am worried by what you posted.

Can I you quote here what is written/ exact wording in your school letters? Maybe it has something to do with what is written in the letters.

Did you ask the case officer why your school letters are not sufficient evidence? maybe CO did not receive the school letters you uploaded. Did you very with CO?

Do you have an MA? what did you agent say?

I lodged the nomination (ENS 186 - Temporary Transition Scheme) and application on January 8 this year, Nomination and Visa was granted yesterday!

 

I have a quick question, in the Visa Grant email, there is no mention of us needing to leave the country on a specific date and then return. The only date says that we must arrive before 01 May 2020 but as we are obviously already in the country what does this mean? I was told that we would be notified of a date that we need to leave and re-enter on a new Visa. Is this telling us that we have until 2020 to leave and return? We have already planned to go on holiday to the USA in June, so would this mean that the Visa will be activated on our return or is this Visa now already activated from 01 May?

Your PR visa is valid for 5 years from grant so it is valid until 1 May 2020. You do not have to leave the country but if you leave the country on 2020 and return after 1 May 2020, then you need to apply for a return resident visa unless you become an Australian citizen before 1 May 2020
