Always waiting, waiting, waiting - I hate this process lol That's us 6 weeks into our appeal and now at day 11 after submitting our 457 Visa application - aaarrgghh just give me a visa already!! lol xx

this is a PIO online tracker that group members complete on their own, they fill in when they submitted and the date when granted. It doesn't track all visas xx

I have loads of friends who have been waiting March & April and still nothing. Seems to be all Asian countries at the moment that are getting grants, if the visa tracker is anything to go by xx

Does anyone know why the recent visa grants seems to be 95% from India, China & Pakistan - very few grants for any other country?? Thanks xx

Great, if we have to wait 12-14 weeks I may kill myself!! Between the 17 weeks of TRA hell & if we have to wait that long for our 457 then we're not having much luck - FML!! xx

I believe it's not individuals but a team that assess your case. As mentioned above, if they need more info then an individual case officer contacts you for this. I think lol xx

@MaggieMay24 you seem quite clued up on these 457's. Are the processed from a different place than the PR and pretty much treated differently. Reason I'm asking as a few friends are waiting on decisions for 189. They called immi today to get an automated message along the lines of 'we have a backlog, if you haven't heard from us by 1st Aug then call back' so was wondering if that would affect 457's as well? Sorry hun, I have no idea whether or not you would get a visa. If you post your question as a thread of your own I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be able to help you out. Only thing I would suggest is checking your skills is on the list as the new financial year kicked off yesterday and there was additions and some removals from the list. Good luck xx

I've been told that the majority of grants happen on a Mon & Fri - fingers crossed yours comes through tomorrow xx

Does anyone know if your agent creates the immi account for you or once they have submitted you can go in and do this on your own to track your progress? Thanks xx

We are looking into going 457, what is the breakdown of the fees as I thought the visa for 2 adults totalled $2070 - your price is an extra $1330 which we hadn't included?? Thanks

Hi RMac, I currently stay in Glasgow and there is nothing here. Its cold all the time, our lives are ruled by the weather, everything costs a bomb. I'm currently tying to get outta here so maybe I'm a little negative towards the place but I wouldn't come here if I were you. I have a girl from Sydney work with me and she has been here a year and is desperate to go back home. She said she is sick of feeling cold and that all she does is go home, wrap up and sit into front of the TV and eat because it's always miserable here. I know the grass is always greener but you really aint missing anything xx

Our went right to the end of the 60 working days for them to fail it and we've had our appeal acknowledged today and guess what....another 60 working day wait lol Can't really answer what you might need since I don't know you're personal circumstances but we had to to provide references from customers of my OH xx

Having worked in recruitment myself you will find that a lot of the adverts are for candidate attraction and are not for real vacancies. Not sure of the rules of this in Aus but I bet its the same as the UK. Apply to company adverts only and go visit some of the agencies in person and get registered for work rather than responding to their job ads. Good luck!! xx

For anyone that's interested or suffers the same fate as us, our appeal was posted on 19th May and we got an acknowledgement email today 27th May and have been advised it's another 60 working days wait - which means we're talking w.c 17th August xx
