Syed I would remove that photo ASAP. If you were caught publicly posting the profits of a company without permission you could be sacked.

I'm so relieved! Nomination & Visa 5th July, 1 person, LR, ICT Tech, Transition, No Documents requested. On a side note, another employee with a completely different job title got her PR today as well. So I imagine job title has less significance than we thought.

Same for me. Had I known this whole process was going to take so long I'd have gone defacto. I would have had PR long ago! 200 days for me today. I never thought it was going to take this long

The application is $4500, plus agent fees, medical, police checks etc.

Ask your MA to get it done and uploaded. The TRN number is supplied to your MA in the bridging visa.

UK Passport Renewal - Does this effect my 457?
leethompson replied to WinchWench's topic in Visa Chat
I did similar a few years ago. I live in Australia on a 457. I got a new passport and it took so long to arrive I got it 2 days before I went back to the uk. I called immigration and asked them to transfer the visa to my new passport, but they said it would take too long and to take both passports to the airport, and I'd be pulled over at passport control, but they would do the transfer there. Sure enough, I did this, got pulled aside and after I explained they happily did the transfer and let me through. -
You can do it before your submit the application. I did. I would get it done before, or immediately after. There's no reason not to, unless you think the process is going to take more than a year. If you wait until they ask for you to do it you'll only delay the process.

Hi Frank, Did they charge? If I had to do a partner visa, I would do it myself. I've already shelled out about 6 grand on my 186 application. Thank you though.

my MA only asked me to do the first 3, but I'm not sure if it differs for any reason.

1. It depends when her birthday is. The school year runs January to December. 2. I don't see why not? It's not going to be the start of the school year, but you can join at any time. Isn't kindergarten 4-5 year olds?

Yes I definitely think that MAs are saying 6 months, the immi website says 6 months, and when I applied, 6 months seemed to be the average. It only took my 2 friends 4 months. I understand it's more like 8 now, but it's SO frustrating not knowing when it's going to happen.

There are 2-3 people in May win ICT roles who got their visas in around 190 days.

Oh I know. I just hoped. There are people with the same job role and from HR countries with extra people on their visas who have had theirs in around 190 days. I'm on 184 days. I'm transition, 1 person, and LR.

Sorry not 189, 186. I don't think the visa will be refused, but I'm cautious about the nomination not being approved. I have a bridging visa, but it doesn't come into effect until early March (when my 457 expires). So hopefully my PR will come through by then, or the nomination may fail by then. If the nomination failed, I assume the bridging visa would also become void, and at that point it would be good/possible to go for a partner visa instead? Thanks for your advice.

6 months for me today. I really thought I'd have it by now

Sorry for hijacking your thread Kezzles but I wanted to ask a similar question. Im currently waiting on my 457 transition to 189 to come through. I wondered if for whatever reason it failed, my 457 ends in early march. Would I be better off just not getting the company to renew it and going for a partner visa? What's the situation with work rights after ending a 457 and applying for a partner visa instead?

Don't congratulate me, I'm still waiting on mine!

Doubtful, but possible. It was a Saturday so someone could have been doing overtime. Only they can answer really.

The spreadsheet. There's enough people in it for it to be fairly accurate.
