Hi All Here is a part of the reply we had today. This is so called “switcher” application whereby your parents decided to switch from a non-contributory parent application lodged under subclass 103 (low cost, long wait) to a contributory subclass 143 visa application (high cost, short wait). Switcher applications are given a priority in accordance with the Ministerial direction with rationale being that we should encourage people waiting in the long visa 103 queue to pay more money and get their visa earlier if they decide to switch to a 143 visa. Different waiting periods apply to applicants who lodge 143 visa application straight away – these have to wait 18 months for allocation for assessment. Well we didn't know this, hope the house sell quickly.

Hi All, Thanks for the replies. We were on Visa 103 but cancel that and when on to CPV143. We made an offshore application. House going up for sale next week, we have email PVC to ask about our time line. Will keep you all up to date as and when we know:wub:

Hi All, Just an update on our CPV 143 journey. We had a request for documents from the PVC Team they like us to send the police check and our medical check and also have our AoS done all with in 28 day's. We didn't think we had to do anything till mid 2015. Anybody know why the rush ?

Hi Amanda, this is the second time, first was to tell me they had got my first payment and this one has got on it what I need to do next AoS, Medial, Police check and I need Form 80. But reading what all the others have gone through we have a lot of time to do what is ask of us. Its all new to us as well that why people like us are reading this great forum. Hope this helps. Tony

Hi All, We going through with CPV 143, does anyone know when we paid the 2nd charge and been granted the visa how long before we must move to Australia.

Hi All, Sorry about this but I've today put in an application 143 CPV are you saying when you get an acknowledgement then wait about 6 month or a year you can then go over on a 600 visa which last for 1 year then just stay in Australia till your 143 as go through all its processes.
