  1. Thanks for that, I didn't know that I could just tick a box :-) Thanks for for the heads up on not opening the hard copies. When did you apply for yours?
  2. Wow that was quick! I'm hoping that our wont take a long time.
  3. HI Ali We are applying for the ENS 186 and fall under priority group 2 with a 6 month processing time as per the IMMI website. Having said that, there are mixed time frames on forums about how long it's actually taking, with some being granted in 2 months and others around the 6 month mark.
  4. Thanks Tickled Pink :-) There is a 4 week waiting list for the doctor that does the medicals where I live. We've got one booked for Early June. I will send it all through together as we should receive our UK police checks be then hopefully.
  5. Hi guys  Just a quick one... Do you advise completing our medicals and sending it with our application, or rather waiting for a CO to request one after lodgement? Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks
  6. Wow smythe123! Congrats! That was really quick! Hopefully ours will be as speedy as yours :-) My husbands employer applied for the nomination too early but have since withdrawn and resubmitted their nomination. Once we get our UK Police clearances back, then we will apply. fingers crossed for us :-)
  7. Thank you so very much for this information guys. you have saved us a lot of time and possible heartache! I'm so glad. I signed up to this site, I really value your opinions :-)
  8. Hi Adaminoz thanks so much for your reply. I'm definitely not applying now, that's for sure! Our visa was approved on the 2nd March 2012, arrived on the 2nd April and my husband started actually working on the 11th April 2012. If the nomination has already been declined, does that mean all our chances for another nomination application become non existent?
  9. Hi MaggieMay24 Thank you for your reply. Oh goodness! That's so disheartening! My husband works for a massive organisation who has sponsored lots of people over the years, I would think that they would've know when to apply. I really hope that this error doesn't cost us in the long run. Do you know if there is any way they can withdraw their nomination and reapply? My husband will contact HR on Monday and talk to them. I will keep you posted on the outcome of this. thanks so much for noticing this. Couldn't bear the thought of losing over $8K. Im so stressed now
  10. Hi lebourvellec Thank you for replying. No, I'm not using an agent, I'm doing it on my own. Edit** My mum has just told me that she has the original of my birth certificate, birth registration and South African identity document (photo ID). None of these have my parents names though, just their South African Identity Numbers. Hopefully that will suffice as in SA, the ID numbers are what was used back when I was born :-)
  11. Hi Everyone, Congrats to those who have got their 186 and fingers crossed for those of you awaiting decisions. I have posted and said hi on the welcome thread, and pasted my message below... I have been reading a few of your threads for a while and thought it best to actually register and say hi :-) Firstly, I have to say that your community is fantastic and the advise you offer is great! I am currently in Regional QLD on a 457 visa (my husband is the primary applicant). We have 2 young children and I do not work as the the cost of childcare is extortionate with no government help. We arrived in Australia in April 2012 and my husbands employer has lodged their nomination for the ENS 186 (Transition Stream) at the beginning of March and no word on that approval yet. They have since given us the application ID and we have created our ImmiAccount, but are currently waiting for my husbands birth certificate and our police certificated from the UK. I don't think I need to provide my birth certificate as I am not the primary applicant (please correct me if I am wrong). We haven't done medicals yet, but as the cost is so high, we were thinking of waiting for it to be requested before we got them. Do you think this is advisable, or should we just send it all through with our application? I am really looking forward to contributing to the forums and becoming a part of this 'community'. Thanks for reading
