  1. Just wanted to post an update...My husband received the (passing) results of his IELTS 9,9,8,and 7 (in writing) ... guess he won't be writing a novel anytime soon! haha. Thanks for the help and book recommendations. He said he wouldn't have done so well if he didn't pick up the books!
  2. He was able to register for the exam this Saturday, and picked up that book for studying Hopefully it goes well!!

  4. Okay, thanks for the info!!
  5. Hello, We are awaiting results from my husband's skills assessment. They hopefully should be back within the next couple weeks. My husband is turning 33 in June, so he will be losing 5 points and I think he is going to have to sit the IELTS. When can he do this? Does he have to have it completed before this EOI can be submitted? or can he do it after we have submitted the EOI, but before we apply for the visa (190)? Thanks
  6. http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/210923-change-occupation-will-affect-our-migration.html i asked a similar question just a while ago
  7. Thanks for the reply. We are awaiting his skills assessment still....should be coming back soon (we hope!). He is a corporate services manager 132111. The occupation had been on the list for ACT but it has been removed for the time being, but it is currently still on the list for SA. I hadn't thought too hard about it being taken off the list and then having to wait for it to reappear again, thank you for mentioning that! I will tell him to at least wait until he has gotten the state sponsorship lined up. It was just a job opportunity that came up for him that got us thinking, ya know? Thank you so much for the advice!
  8. Hello, My husband is currently waiting for his Skills Assessment to come back. We are hoping to migrate on a 190 Visa. He currently works in the banking/management industry (for 15 years). Anyways, he may have an opportunity to do a labor-type job (that would pay alot of money, thus helping us save for our move). Would him switching to this job for say a year or whatever it takes to get our visa affect his actual ability to get the visa since he would no longer be working in the field that he has had his skills assessed for?? Thanks in advance!
  9. Thanks for sharing! My husbands career is on that list again
  10. Oh no! We have just finished getting all our documents together to apply for Skills Assessment, and I see my husband's profession is now on the CLOSED list! Do they ever re-open?!?!
