  1. PR approved! Day 100. My timeline for the record: Nomination and visa application submitted decision-ready, via MA, at Parramatta: 18 November 2013 Nomination approved: 25 February 2014 Visa approved: 26 February 2014 No contact from DIBP at any point in the process. Thanks very much to all of you here. This thread a board were a great help to my sanity throughout this horrible wait. My thoughts are very much still with those of you waiting and I wish you all good news ASAP.
  2. thanks, Haley. a bunch of people who applied later than I did were approved last week, so i really have no idea if DR means anything. but here is the news about DIBP ending DR applications, note there's another email from DIBP in the comments here: https://migrationalliance.com.au/immigration-daily-news/entry/2014-01-employer-nomination-scheme-ens-regional-sponsored-migration-scheme-rsms-policy-update-regarding-changes-to-the-ability-to-lodge-decision-ready-applications.html
  3. ah! just heard from my MA that my nomination was approved today! some deets for CDR's stats: Nomination & visa application submitted, DR at parramatta on 18 Nov 2013 Nomination approved on 25 Feb 2014 99 days (14.14 weeks) come on visa application...
  4. logged both nomination and visa application, decision-ready (whatever that is worth at this point) at parramatta on 18 november
  5. yeah, last week i saw a bunch of people who had applied after me had their PR approved. i wish there was some sort of indication of how DIBP approached these. from talking to my MA, it's clear he has no idea but I don't think that's his fault. DIBP said they were scrapping decision-ready in favor of processing applications in the order in which they were received, but they are clearly not doing that. i can't believe they are processing December applications when October applicants are awaiting COs. baffling...
  6. bah, they still need to finish the november ones! no, that is obviously good news for december folks but the seemingly randomness of how DIBP gets through these applications is so frustrating
  7. I've seen it mentioned a couple of times that under the ENS 186 visa category, applications for certain occupations are processed quicker than others. For instance, engineers' applications might be reviewed sooner than those of chefs. Is this just rumor/hearsay? Is there some kind of guideline or anything around this notion?
  8. congrats, Imran! just curious, which office did you submit your application to? thanks
  9. hi glenn, this was the case for me. my lawyer submitted everything and it's all in his immi account. my lawyer, understandbly, wouldn't give me his log-in details, but i write him at least once a week and ask him to check it for me. and the news is always....nothing. sigh
  10. any november-submitting 186 applicants out there heard anything yet? i have not
  11. congrats, snowjunky! just curious, was your 186 direct-entry or transition stream? thanks
  12. traceyd, did you apply via migration agent? i submitted a decision ready application on 18 November 2013 (nomination not yet approved) with an MA and I too was unable to create an immi account, but i found out that this was because the application went in under my MA's account. maybe that's your issue? it's frustrating not to have that immi account to obsessively check for the slightest activity throughout this excruciating wait, but if you applied via MA this could be your problem with the immi account.
  13. submitted both my decision-ready application and my employer's nomination application for the 457-to-186 stream, at parramatta, with MA, on 18 November. i have not heard anything yet
