  1. Yes and I am currently saving for it. Will apply when saved. So to pass the skill assessment you need work experience working in Australia as a hairdresser but they wont give you a visa in order to do that on??!! Well thats just ridiculous!
  2. Is this the issue? http://www.migrationsolutions.com.au/news/changes-to-work-experience-requirements-spoils-return-of-occupations-to-sno/
  3. No well this is my life and I take it very seriously Now please can someone answer my question.
  4. No no and no. I am doing whatever gets me the visa as fast and as easy as possiable. And stuff I can do within Australia, because that way studying there I am spending time there. And hairdressing is something I am interested in, cheap to study and seems to have solutions in the long run.
  5. OK in english how many years for hairdressing on the state sponosrhip list?? I heard 2 years is the min for some states now with this skill assessment bollocks how many years to pass that?!
  6. I want straight answers please, not internet links and wishy washy responses. How can you get work hours in Australia when there's no visa to work in Australia ffs!!!??? http://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/Programs/JobReady/Pages/Step-1---Provisional%20Skills%20Assessment.aspx

  10. Think I will defo push on with the hairdressing as thats something I actually have an interest in. I know the old govenment wanted to do that but abbot is making it easier for us. 2 years is needed for most states to be sponsored. Also who will employ someone on a 457 and pay them all that money with no experience??!! How many years does it specify on the skills asssesment for hairdressing??! My agent said 2 years regardless unless 457.
  11. Thanks for that. I know for ss hairdressing you need 2 years experience the agent told me.
  12. yes if it was chef. I saw that I would pass the points test and have the qualification so why could I not get a skilled independent visa for that?
  13. Ok interesting. I just need a visa asap.
  14. Yes I agree they should all work and not scrounge of the taxpayers too but there are plenty of people willing to work and Australia wont have them. I cant live without being Australia, I need it. I cant live anywhere else really, accept perhaps nz. Ideally I want to act, I am one of those sorts that works in a bar/ coffee shop in St kilda and acts on the side a bit when work comes available thats what i want. I want to be young, fee and single in Australia not old and have let life pass me by.
  15. What trade is he doing? yes but I'd have the qualification and passed the points test!?
  16. No what are you talking about? If I have the points test and pass the qualification then that is enough, right?!
  17. Hope so and hopefully it will help me pursue my dream.
  18. Yes am stopping with them at the moment. We get on okay I guess they really want me to go back to university or move back to greece but cant seem to see how unhappy it all made me.
  19. Thank you  the way I see it you can either sit and feel sorry for yourself or find ways around this and ways I can gain this visa. And then once I have the money get back to Australia and study.
