  1. Hi Diana - yep that's the same message I had for the whole time, even though I had done the same as you and completed medicals in advance. I just uploaded the finalised eHealth referral letter as evidence and (as you said earlier) imported the results into ImmiAccount on a separate line. I'm sure it won't be too long for you, and thank you again for your advice so far!
  2. Thanks for bumping - my visa was actually granted today. I guess it wasn't an issue after all!
  3. Guys, got my visa grant email this afternoon! No contact from a case officer at all - just a direct grant. Good luck to everyone else, they seem to be churning through quickly.
  4. No further developments for me - but I called DIBP to see if they could tell me whether a CO had been assigned; they said not yet and basically laughed at me for checking so early! That is what I expected though, they clarified that the published time for CO assignment is 10 weeks from lodging and it seems like the online status changes are just random. Sounds like it's happening a lot quicker than the 10 weeks though for most people, and the grants seem to be coming thick and fast so it shouldn't be too long.
  5. Nice one! How did you know that you had been allocated - an email out of the blue or any status changes to the online application?
  6. My uploaded docs all changed status from 'required' to 'received' with yesterday's date next to them... reckon that means anything??
  7. Hi all A quick question on claiming points for skilled employment. I submitted a 189 application on 16 December with the following points breakdown (65 in total): Age 30 IELTS 10 (7.0 on the dreaded writing) Degree 15 (Bachelors assessed as equivalent by skills assessment authority) Australian employment 10 (3 years on a 457) My concern is around the Australian employment. My skills assessment authority (the ICAA) confirmed that my current job is relevant to my nominated application (Accountant – General) for the purposes of awarding points. However, the potential banana skin is that I requested the assessment before my 3 year anniversary (thinking the assessment would take longer than it did), so my assessment letter shows an employment period from 22 November 2010 to 11 November 2013 (11 days short of 3 years). Importantly, I waited until 6 December (AFTER the 3 year anniversary) before submitting my EOI, as I know that the crucial issue is being able to support claims made in your EOI at the time of applying. I have proved that am still in the same employment with my last payslip (dated after the anniversary), and can provide a new reference with today’s date if needed, but am worried that my official skills assessment letter covers an employment period of less than 3 years, even though I had the 3 years in the bag when submitting the EOI. Hopefully I’m right in thinking the CO will look at date of EOI – is having your skilled employment assessed even necessary? Any advice appreciated (again!) Cheers
  8. Sounds like we're in the same boat - I originally uploaded my referral letter but then saw that it had changed with the same info you quoted above when I looked in 'my health declarations' - so I uploaded the new letter as well. I gave my HAP ID when I submitted the application so hopefully it's linked - I haven't ever seen a 'organise health checks' link that other people have been referring to. I probably don't see two separate links in ImmiAccount like you as I applied after ImmiAccount was already set up. Good luck, interested to see if you have any developments!
  9. Adam - thanks for the clarification, much appreciated. Diana, I also did the medicals in advance but do not have two separate ImmiAccount files. I have uploaded the referral letter showing all the checks as cleared and the note that the results have been submitted to DIBP. Am I supposed to be able to link this to the application some other way?
  10. Hi all Firstly thanks to all for the invaluable advice on this forum - I referred to it on a daily basis when preparing my application for a 189 visa, which I submitted on 16 December. I wanted to clarify how the ImmiAccount system works (specifically the way that submitted applications are displayed) as I think my application would have been one of the first to be submitted under this. After submitting the application, I uploaded all the documents I think will be needed. However, next to each 'type of evidence' on the application screen, there is still a status of 'required'. I'm assuming this is just the way the system displays the status before a CO is allocated as I can also see (in a separate list) each file I have uploaded. Also, the overall status of the application is still 'in progress' rather than 'submitted' or 'being processed' or anything like that... if someone could confirm that this is normal I'd be grateful, as I'm developing an unhealthy obsession of checking it every 5 minutes to see if anything has changed! Cheers
  11. Long time reader of this forum, submitted 189 application yesterday (16th) after invite on the same day. PCCs and medicals front-loaded, let the waiting begin!
  12. Thanks Diana - very helpful, hopefully ICAA will give the same outcome. Sorry to keep banging on about it, but to clarify did you include both the non-accounting masters and the accounting qualification in the EOI, or just the accounting qualification? From what you explained they're both worth 15 points so probably no difference - but I'm doing this without an agent and just want to make sure that my EOI is absolutely spot on. Cheers
  13. Hi all - I am in exactly the same boat, non-accounting degree but member of an overseas accounting body. RedHand, can I follow this up and ask whether you got your 15 points by submitting degree info to DIAC? If so, did your skills assessment from the ICAA make any mention of the degree at all? Any help much appreciated!
